The Effect of Mini Teaching Style in Developing Artistic Taste Skills at Students in Department of Artistic Education in College of Fine Arts – University of Diyala

Abstract

This study is considered to be the first of its kind according to the knowledge of the researcher in using mini-teaching style in area of artistic education. It is considered as modern ways of teaching which consider the student as the core of teaching process, which is complementary to previous researches in the field artistic taste that might contribute in developing the student. Through it the researcher invites the instructors in artistic education of the necessity of using modern teaching methods in teaching because of its importance in supporting the student's role in the process of teaching. As for the problem of research it is about answering the question: does mini-teaching style has effect of developing skills of artistic taste for students at Department of Artistic Education in College of Fine Arts – University of Diyala? The research aims to: Identify skills of artistic taste for students at Department of Artistic Education in College of Fine Arts – University of Diyala and to identify effect of mini-teaching style in developing skills of artistic taste for students at Department of Artistic Education in College of Fine Arts – University of Diyala. The researcher used experimental style because of being suitable with problem and aims of research. The research sample concluded third year students at Department of Artistic Education in College of Fine Arts – University of Diyala. The research tool used was the indicator of artistic taste skills which was formed according to the Iraqi environment. After conducting the pre-research and implementing teaching style and conducting posterior test in collecting data. The data was analyzed using statistical method SPSS to obtain the results. From the results the researcher concluded the following: significant statistical differences between pre-test and posterior test for the experimental group for the favor of posterior tests. There was positive effect for mini-teaching style in developing skills of artistic taste for sample of experimental group.
