Immunity response to lens proteins in male rats Rattus norvegicus

Abstract

The present study aimed to assess immunological status against lens crystalline eye by studying immunity response to lens antigen through of the levels of serum antigen α A-crystallin and the levels of serum cytokines( interlukin-6) by using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) technique. In this study we used a total of 30 animals ,their age ranged (10- 12) week. The animals rattus norvegicus were subdivided into five groups, six rats in each group . Four groups were performance operation done to stimulation immune response , and the five groups as a healthy control. The immunity response were measured in animals rats at different time points(7 , 14 , 30 , 60 days) postoperatively. The first group lens implanted in the abdominal cavity of the same rat, also the second group , the third group and the fourth group also implanted the lens in the abdominal cavity. And then the detected for effect the lens crystalline after dissection the animals. In comparison α A-crystallin levels Kaywords: Immunity response, lens eye proteins , Rattus norvegicus, Alpha A- crystallin.in serum revealed increase significant (P < 0.05) in the animals groups for implanted lens in abdominal cavity compared with healthy control. The result of the current study showed that the level of serum interlukin-6 increased significantly (P< 0.05) in all animals groups with implanted lens compared to healthy control. Also in present study we observed increased in total white blood cells and in differential WBCs revaluated increase lymphocyte and neutrophils in animals groups which implanted lens in abdominal cavity compared with group healthy control.
