Study The Relationships Between Toxic Effects of Lead Acetate and Number of Hematological and Biochemical Variables in The Male Domestic Rabbits

Abstract

This study was carried out to study the relationship between the toxic effect of the lead acetate and number of biochemical and hematological variables in male domestic rabbit. Animals were divided to three groups each group consist of 6 male rabbits with weight about 1.5-2.5kg. First group is the control, was given a water and food as a normal condition, and was named (T1) the second group was given 60mg/kg of lead acetate for two week, and was named (T2), while the third group (T3) was given lead acetate on dose 40mg/kg for one month. The results of this study showed that the rate of Hb and PCV in groups which given lead acetate had significantly decrease (p≤.0.01), comparative with control group, also the result showed significantly differences in the level of the total protein and HDL, both of them had significantly decrease (p≥ 0.01) (p≤0.05), respectively in the groups which were given lead acetate comparative with control group. The level of blood sugar was significantly increasing (p≥ 0.01) comparative with control group.
