The application of fuzzy logic to adjust cotton yarns quality characteristics in the spinning and weaving factory in Mosul

Abstract

Abstract The present research is an attempt to design a software model for data regarding the characteristics of quality of yarn cotton used in the production of cloth cotton type (Tigris), it called in the local market (Khazna), by using the principles of fuzzy logic which used to address the uncertainties situations in our lives. Although most of the applications of this theory were in the fields of engineering, but it has finally arrived to other areas such as psychology, education, education, economics, sociology, business administration, industrial management ..... etc.. In this research, this logic has been applied on data quality characteristics of cotton (24/1) , by using conditional rules designed model, and using the( Mamdani) system for its efficiency in dealing with knowledge using in the treatment of cognitive of decision-making.Also designed a model for data yarns quality characteristics proposed on personal lab top, which is running by (Windows XP SP 2) and used software ( Matlab version 2011) as a tool to prepare design mentioned as well as the use of software ( Visual Basic studio 6) . The application of the program was on the data of the quality control department in the spinning and weaving factory in Mosul. The results demonstrate that this designed model is an effective tool that could help the factory management to take its decisions with regard to measuring the quality of yarn.
