Semantic Fields in the Water-Praying Supplication of Imam Al-Hasan (Peace be upon him) Reading in Intent and Target

Abstract

The present paper reconnoiters the semantic fields in the waterprayingsupplication of imam Al-Hasan and exerts itself to manifest certainutterances employing water in panoramic shades of meaning: the waterthat falling from the sky could be rain in drops to bid high prices slump;bless to be spread . However there is a sense of erudition in the Al-Hasandiscourse manipulating the phenomenon; vales, mounts and brooks thatusher water abundance in such a supplication of the imam .The meant diversity in diction grants the system of water-prayingsupplication a pathway to erudition and edification and reflects thefaith the imam ensconces in his heart.
