Abstract

This study stands of as an attempt to prove that starting evening higher education studies in the Iraqi universities would not only benefit those who want to get higher degrees inside Iraq (no matter the circumstances that stand against them to gain seats in the morning studies), but also has several additional advantages:1-To prepare qualified researchers, whose researches would enrich the scientific libraries and also contribute to solve many problems prevailing in the community.2-To reduce the numbers of students travelling aboard for their studies, thereby decreasing the possible negative acquired habits in addition to saving a lot of money.3-To create job opportunities. 4-To participate with a respectable revenue to total state GDP.The market (the market of higher education, the (supply and demand) on the higher education in Iraq, and the ways to reduce the gap between them) has been studied, through four aspects. The first part of this study involves analysis and study the primary higher education in Iraq both the morning and the evening, as a proportion of their output represents the input of the postgraduate studies, also the increasing pressure on the universities capacities to contain the increasing numbers of students has also been studied. In conclusion, the project of starting evening higher education studies in the Iraqi universities is an urgent necessity to contain the increasing demands that are illustrated by studying the supply and demand market in addition to the various scientific, developmental and social benefits
