THE USE OF A SPECIFIC RESISTANCE EXERCISES TO DEVELOP THE MUSCLE POWER AND ITS INFLUENCE IN PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY AND STRENGTH AND ACCURACY OF HIGH JUMP SHOT IN HANDBALL

Abstract

The research includes the introduction and the importance of research, which lies in the use of a specific resistance exercises and field-tested for the purpose of developing explosive power and speed power of upper and lower limbs and to know the impact of those exercises in a positive way to increase the power and accuracy performance of high jump-shot in handball, the researcher also touched to the research problem which sets a clear weakness in both strength and speed and therefore weakness in the process of jumping to the highest possible point, which contributes twice the power and accuracy of performance during the shooting process. The research aims to prepare exercises by using specific resistance to improve the muscle’s power of legs and arms of the University of Wassit’s team of handball, and to identify the impact of using specific resistance exercises for the explosive power development and speed power of legs and arms and physical efficiency and the accuracy and power of shooting target on a research’s sample. The researcher uses experimental method to suits the nature of the research and consider it as a best way to solve the problem of the search which through it can achieve its objectives. The researcher reached many of conclusions which that the specific resistance exercises led to improve the muscles ability and to improve the performance of the vertical jump and physical efficiency and throw the ball to maximum distance for the research’s sample which has achieved the goal and the purpose for which they were designed. The most important recommendations was the need to develop the muscle capacity (explosive power and power speed) of the legs and arms of handballs players because of its role in improving the performance that to achieve the best possible level of performing high jump-shot skill.
