Bolton Ratio in Different Groups of Malocclusions in Iraqi Population

Abstract

It is important clinically to evaluate Bolton ratio and it influencesthe organizing of orthodontic management. The objective of thepresent study was to relate anterior and overall Bolton ratios indissimilar Angle's malocclusion classes of Iraqi sample withBolton’s standards, and also to find if there is any genderdifference. This study involved dental casts from one hundredtwenty subjects 14-25 years old divided into three mainmalocclusion groups Class I, Class II and Class III from Saladincity. Statistically no significant differences in anterior and overallBolton’s ratios were recorded in malocclusion classes and nosignificant gender difference in any malocclusion group.
