Federalism and democratic transition in Iraq

Abstract

It is well known that many countries of the world have become living under federal regulations, because they guarantee reasonable and evolving relationship between the nationalist formations, ethnic, linguistic formulas or cultural in the state, this system achieves two goals in that one: it keeps one hand on the political entity of the state and not to hashed, also leads the other hand, to satisfy the peculiarities of the various components involved in the state. Since that democracy provides legal safeguards to prevent the emergence of a central authority has the tendency towards a dictatorship, the federal often associated with him and here was this was research to shed light on a fraction of the relationship between federal and democratic transition in Iraq addressed to the federal in the Kurdistan region.
