A New Fractal Antenna Flame Structure with Impedance Ration 10.6:1 High Efficiency for UWB Applications

Abstract

This study presents a monopole antenna novel fractal structure had compact size of 27.5x30x1.6 mm and a wide impedance ratio 10.6:1 covers UWB frequency range .The antenna is configured by the integration of the reference monopole semi-ellipse antenna with four iteration of crescent structure that has a calculated size and selected positions. The effect of the parameters on the notched band is studied carefully to optimize the dimensions of the antenna. A distinguished agreement is observed between the simulated results and measured values for some important characteristics, such as the reflection coefficient and radiation patterns in the E-plane and H-plane. The antenna gain varies between 2.5dB to 5dB , with maximum total efficiency of (91%) .
