Abstract

Turkey and Russia are closely related geostrategic powers with important geostrategic characteristics and common data influencing the foreign policy orientations of both countries: the strategic geographical location linking the ancient world continents (Afro-Eurasia), the common interests, and the historical legacy of their past experience as empires, Has created a geopolitical rivalry between the two powers over the past decades. Although there are a number of major differences between the two countries in the Caucasus and Black Sea, and the Middle East (the Syrian crisis in 2011), stemming from the interests or alliances or positions of the two sides of issues affecting the other party, but the Russian-Turkish relations under the leadership of Putin and Erdogan have witnessed an era Golden development of Ankara and Moscow, and their aspiration to play a bigger role in the new world order. The economic dimension - particularly in the energy field - is playing an important role in establishing strategic relations leading to political rapprochement between the two parties.
