An analytical study of pictures, figures, Tables & Diagrams in Iraqi Chemistry Text books in the Light of Specific Educational Criteria

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing thepictures, figures, tables and Diagrams inChemistry Text-books for secondarystage in Iraq in the light of educationalTechnology and this is to answer towquestions:1- what are the Criteria dependent ofanalyzing pictures, figures, tables, anddiagrams in chemistry text-books?2- what is the extent of actualizingthese Criteria in the mentioned books inthe view of analysis?This study is confined to chemistrytext-books in secondary stage for theyear (2008-2009) thus, the sample of thisstudy consists of (592) pages.To fulfill the aim of this study, theresearcher built the instrument of thestudy "criteria".The researcher used group of staticaltools which are percentage, Cooperequation and Person-Co. Coefficient. Theresearcher reached at a numbers ofresults and recommendations suggestion.
