Abstract

Teaching competencies required for teachers of Islamic education from the point of view of teachers The purpose of the research was to identify the teaching competencies required for the teachers of Islamic education. From the point of view of the teachers, the research sample consisted of (75) teachers and 56% of the total society. Of these, 42 were males and 33 were females. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (34) paragraphs, divided into four areas: (planning for the lesson, teaching methods, methods of teaching, assessment) The veracity of the questionnaire was verified by presenting it to a group of experts and arbitrators and supported the validity of the questionnaire (0.92). After correcting with Sebrman Brown equation, the stability coefficient (0.96) was obtained. The statistical analysis package (spss) was adopted to extract the results.1.The teaching competencies needed for teachers of Islamic education from the point of view of teachers is the medium of all areas of the research tool (planning of the lesson, teaching methods, teaching methods, assessment).2.There are differences in the educational competencies required for teachers of Islamic education from the point of view of teachers of different sex attributed to the benefit of males.The research recommended the following:1.Holding training courses for teachers of Islamic education to enable them to practice positive interaction skills with students using modern educational techniques.2.The need to employ the skills of teaching effectively in the development of teaching competencies among teachers of Islamic education.
