Abstract

Abstract The research focused on the distribution of car parking in the holy city of Karbala and the evaluation of the reality of service to many results, the most prominent of which is that the number of positions in the city of Karbala reached (73) position, these positions are distributed on the three sectors of the city housing different percentages led by the Old City sector by 67.1 The distribution of car parks in Karbala was influenced by the quality of urban land use, the most prominent of which were the rapid and secondary transport networks and the religious, commercial, health and entertainment use. Urban significant impact in the process of attracting parking to it without other other uses, while parking lots were recorded in Karbala, good proportions in the quality of services enjoyed by the likes of services (surveillance and lighting) by (98.6%) of the positions containing these services as came B services and wait by (83.3%) followed by a space element by (64.4%) the rest of the other service indicators recorded the positions marked decline by making the city suffers from a severe shortage of parking service comes this deficit first two forms the shortfall in service volume and the second poor distribution spatial in pan tide NH making the city an urgent need to plan this type of service.
