The effect of rational and emotional counseling in the development of social maturity University students

Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the social maturity of university students as well as to identify the impact of the counseling program on the basis of the method of emotional rational guidance in the development of social maturity.The researcher used the measure of social maturity prepared by al-Jizani (2005) and was presented to a group of experts in the measurement, evaluation and psychological guidance. The psychometric characteristics of the researcher were also derived from sincerity and consistency. The research tools included the social maturation scale and the extension program, consisting of (10) Statistical methods were used (one meta-test, two independent samples, the Mann-Tenni test, and Colmogruff Samir Nov). The results of the present study showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the extension program in social maturity. The researcher developed a set of recommendations and proposals.
