The Relation of Character to Denouement and End of Story, the Story of "Crown for Taibootha" by Mohammed Khudair as Model

Abstract

Our paper which is entitled (The Relation of Character to Denouement and End of Story, the Story of "Crown for Taibootha" by Mohammed Khudair as Model) aims at verifying the relation of the "elements of story" to the "denouement and ending of story". We have selected the element of characterization as a model to verify this relation due to its focal and central role in catalyzing the ending. We have made up our minds to study Mohammed Khudair's "Crown for Taibootha" to execute the practical side because the "Taibootha" is a rebel character located in the center of events for she leads the story to the end due to her powerful personality in spite of her adolescence. It was crystal clear to us that the ending of this story is related to cognitive denouement; as the features of the "Bedouin girl" character are related to mental insight, as its vision represents mental denouement. Moreover, due to the nature of the paper, it was divided into two parts; the first of them is: Theoretical Introduction, in which we clarified the concepts of denouement and ending and their significance. The second part: Practical Study, through which we analyzed the story so as to find out the relation of character to "denouement and ending of story". We found out that there is an associative relation between characterization and the construction of denouement and ending in "Crown for Taibootha". This relation is signified by mental insight because the characteristic features of the "Bedouin girl" are related to mental insight, for its vision is like a mental denouement in the story. It is right from here, the role of character in story and its relation to its denouement and ending is clarified.
