Abstract

Abstract: The current research aims to: 1 - measuring the level of irrational ideas in a sample of students of the Faculty of Basic Education, University of Maysan. 2. Identify the level of illogical ideas in the basic research sample . . 3 - To identify the existence of statistically significant differences in the level of irrational thinking in the basic research sample by sex variable (male and female) . . The sample of the study was 200 students from the departments of the basic education faculty / University of Missan and 100 students from the second stage of males and 100 female students from the second stage of females in the departments of the college listed in the research randomly. Processing of the current data The statistical pouch program (SPACE) has been used and includes the following statistical means: 1. The arithmetic mean, the standard deviation 2. Test t (t.test) for one sample.3. Test t (t.test) for two equal and unrelated samples. Current research findings include: 1. There are statistically significant differences in the level of irrational ideas in the whole sample. This gives a negative signal. This indicates the high level of irrational thinking among a sample of the students of the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Maysan due to the large and rapid changes that occur in the country from the crises, the media transmission of the films and their effects and the blood phenomena that occur every day all these effects created the ideas that Affect the rational behavior of university students in Maysan province. Which shows that the current in-kind research (university students). 2. There are no statistically significant differences between the sexes, indicating that the degree of irrational thoughts is equal for both genders. This means that a large proportion of male and female respondents are close to irrational ideas. The researcher explained that the students of the University of Maysan in the Faculty of Basic Education characterized by the lack of objectivity in thinking and relying on false expectations and predictions and generalizations.
