The map of Iraqi political forces after the ISIS and its threats

Abstract

The structure of Iraqi political forces suffers from serious challenges that affect the unity and cohesion of these forces. The events of 2014 and the fall of a number of Iraqi cities in the hands of what is called ISIS have been a clear evidence that showed the fragility of these forces and the weakness of their institutional structure. Since the change that Iraq witnessed, the Iraqi political forces have not been able to accomplish clear achievements and that led to serious challenges threatening their unity, cohesion, popularity, and consequently the inability to succeed in building the Iraqi state and its institutions. These forces became in a state of aimlessness and division which led to the rise of new forces trying to get rid of the mistakes of traditional forces holding power.
