Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of one of the meta-knowledge strategies in the achievement of the fifth biomedical students in mathematics and the development of successful intelligence and curiosity.To investigate the research objective, the following hypotheses were formulated:1 - There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0,05) between the average score of the students of the experimental group, which was studied according to the strategy of activation of the previous knowledge and the average grades of students control group, which studied according to the usual method in the collection of mathematics.2 - There is no significant statistical difference at the level of (0,05) between the average score of students of the experimental group, which was studied according to the strategy of activation of the previous knowledge and the average score of students of the control group, which was studied according to the usual way to develop successful intelligence.3 - There is no significant statistical difference at the level of (0,05) between the average score of students of the experimental group, which was studied according to the strategy of activating the previous knowledge and the average grades of students control group, which was studied according to the usual method of curiosity in science. The research community is determined by the students of the fifth biomedical sciences in the middle and high school preparatory schools in the Dujail district of the Directorate General of Salahuddin Education for the academic year 2017-2018. A) as an experimental group, studied in accordance with the previous knowledge activation strategy and (b) as a control group studied according to the usual method, with 26 students in each groupThe researcher prepared a collection test consisting of (25) multi-choice test paragraphs and adopted a test of the successful intelligence prepared by Sternberg trio of capacities and secondary stage, which was modified by (Azzawi, 2008) after ascertaining its characteristics, The researcher also prepared a test of scientific curiosity consisting of (30) paragraph of the type of multiple choice.The scientific material was determined by the last five chapters of the mathematics book for the fifth grade of biomedical science adopted for the second semester of the academic year (2017 - 2018).The results showed that the students of the experimental group studied in accordance with the strategy of activating the previous knowledge of the students of the control group studied according to the usual method of achievement and development of successful intelligence and scientific curiosity. In the light of the research results, the research set a set of recommendations and suggestions.
