Language and thought: the function of cognition between the Arab world and the western world (comparative study)

Abstract

Abstract: This article studies language according theory of cognitive linguistics is a movement that involves a revolution because of the thesis that language is a product of mental matter and many cognitive processes are acting in its formation. This implies that the way in which we perceive the experience from outside is something very significant in the formation of language, and one of the most important features of our perception is that it is determined by our body features. Furthermore, this movement understands the language based on its use, because it considers that the meaning generated by each individual is unique due to we all have a particular knowledge of the world and the context.
