Geographical Distribution of Power Sources in the Western Region of Iraq and their Reflection on the Power of the State (1990-2017)

Abstract

The western region, which possesses the elements of fossil energy sources through the available resources such as oil, gas, phosphate, sulfur, uranium, ker and water resources. The main purpose of using this energy for its huge reserves is naturally distributed over the region. The western region is located in the western part of Iraq. The western desert is located within the fifth section of the geological divisions approved in the oil industries. The geological structures referred to in the fifth region are located outside the western desert, and the structures of the aquifer, In the 1980s, the Euphrates basin was built on the Syrian side by exploratory activities in Deir al-Zour and Al-Sham areas, which led to oil discoveries in the area of Deir al-Zour in Al-Ahmar, Al-Ward al-Shamali, Jiro, Tiani, The values, the candle, the slave, the morning, the meadows, the east and the discovery of the patch of the Sham adjacent to the Iraqi border in the area of Ratka, Sarit, Thnak.
