Abstract

The importance of the study springs from the importance of the fundamentalists' perspectives concerning increasing and decreasing the meaning of the text, in fact their perspectives are coincided with that of sharia which underscores that it is forbidden to increase or decrease the hermeneutic meanings of certain statements founded in Islamic texts. The study is divided into a preface and two sections. The preface introduces the topic of the study as well as its importance. Section one tackles the linguistic meaning of gestures. The second section gives certain examples of how scholars and fundamentalists deal with the hermeneutics of certain statement founded in Islamic texts.
