Effect of foliar sprys with some mineral elements on growth and yield of pea .Pisum Sativum L.

Abstract

This research was conducted in horticulture field college of Agriculture , university of Baghdad during the growing seasons 2005 and 2006 using pea seeds senador combados CV. Seeds were planted at 1/10/2005 and 1/10/2006 with spacing of 25 cm between plant and others in the same rows and 1m between rows . Diammonium phosphate were used at a rate of 50 kg/ donnum twice, plants were sprayed with potassium , zinc and magnisum on sulphate with the concentration of 2.5,5 gm/L . for potassium and 5,10 gm/L for both zn and mg . after one month from planting and the foliar sprays of these element were repated every 15 days . the experimental result showed that the foliar sprays with those elements influenced the vegetative and the fruit characters for both seasons. potassium at 5 gm /L significantly induced the highest number of branches . leaf area/ plant, dry weight of the vegetative parts/ plant , number of pods/ plant . number of seeds , dry weight of seeds/ pod and plant yield . followed by the zn and mg at 10gm/L.
