Abstract:Not only the role of the line performance as a formal written means of expression only, it is a different configuration elements such as color, size and lighting, texture, space, and shadows, which works to create balance and rhythm. And the importance of the font in the work of art has to address the researcher felt that the topic of discussion is marked (line and its relationship to the training in the art of contemporary painting). The first chapter includes the following topics: the research problem, the importance of research and need for, objectives of the research, the limits of research and determine the terms. Included in Chapter II Section I: Types of configurations, the line and the extent of its effect on the configurations, the configuration properties, techniques for the formulation of the configuration. The second topic: the configuration elements contained in the art of drawing, figure and ground, color and space, space, shadow and light and their relationship to the line in the artwork, as well as indications of the vacuum in the artwork
