The Novel Use of Processed Ninivite-Kaolin Mixture Part 1: Mercury Removal from Its Effluents

Abstract

The mixture of processed ninivite and kaolin has for the first time been used for the removal of mercury from its effluents after nitric acid digestion. Under optimum experimental conditions [shaking time, pH, temperature and quantity of processed ninivite and kaolin mixture, AS(N+K)], the removal efficiency has been found to be >95%.
