Abstract

The aim of current study is to identify the existential meaning of life and Personal hardiness of officials in state institutions, and identify the difference significance in existential meaning of life and Personal hardiness of officials in accordance with gender variable (male – female) and to identify the relationship between the existential meaning of life and personal hardiness of officials in state institutions. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher developed the existential meaning of life scale which consists of (30) items in its final form. Distributed on three aspects: Creative Values, Experiential Values, and Attitudinal Values. Also the researcher has adopted AL Musawi scale of personal hardiness that consists of (29) items in its final form, Distributed on three aspects: Control, Commitment, Challenge. The results of Study indicated that the officials in state institutions have a high level of feeling of existential meaning of life and also a high level of personal hardiness, the results indicates too There were no significant differences in accordance with gender variable in both existential meaning of life and personal hardiness, and the results indicates that There is a positive significant correlation between the existential meaning of life and personal hardiness of officials in state institutions. In the light of these results, the researcher has presented a set of recommendations and suggestions for future researches.
