Studying Disc Plow Performance Efficiency And Its Effect On Tillage Quality And Wheat Yield .

Abstract

A factorial experiment was carried out to evaluate the quality of disc plow performance by using three tilt angles which are 15 º, 20 º and 25 º with two disc angles which are 45 º and 50 º with four forward tractor speed which are 5.4, 6.7, 8.6, and 10.2 km/h and effectiveness all of them on; fuel consumption L/ha, slippage percentage % , degree of the tilth %, soil inversion percentage % and vertical deflection of plow depth %, and wheat yield kg/ha parameter. Then using of randomized complete block design and then the data was analyzed statically. The results showed that the parameters; fuel consumption, slippage percentage, degree of the tilth, soil inversion percentage, vertical deflection of plow depth, and wheat yield quantity increased by increasing tilt angle. The results showed also decreased of soil inversion percentage, vertical deflection of plow depth, and wheat yield quantity by increasing disc angle. The fuel consumption, slippage percentage, and the degree of the tilth are increasing by increased disc angle. The observation noted that the slippage percentage and the degree of the tilth, vertical deflection of plow depth are increased by increasing forward speed, while the fuel consumption is decreased by increasing forward speed. The best treatment from the results with lest power requirement, with best plowing quality and higher wheat yield quantity is the tilt angle 20 º with disc angle 45 º with speed 6.7 km/h which recorded higher wheat yield quantity 5288.30 kg/ha and with ability working by treatment tilt angle 20 º with disc angle 45 º with speed 8.6 km/h which recorded second higher wheat yield quantity 5218.68 kg/ha and best recorded with another parameters. Also the results showed the treatment of the tilt angle 25 º with disc angle 50 º with speed 10.2 km/h recorded least wheat yield 4939.87 kg/ha with higher slippage percentage 17.00 %.
