Effect of planting date and plant growth regulators on the success planting offshoots of date palm( Phoenix dactylifera L.) c.v Bream and Kantar

Abstract

This study was under taken in date palm research center –Basra Univ. to effect of planting date and plan growth regulators in the different concentration .the offshoots was dipped in the different concentration from plan growth regulators(IBA and IAA) for ten minuets during tow planting dates (spring and autumn) the results of study were :1-This study show the dipping treatment of offshoots in the ten minuets by 500 ppm(IBA and IAA) led to have higher ratio of offshoots success in both cultivars were reached (65.41 and 56.66)% respectively.then have higher ratio in autumn planting date in both cultivars were reached(56.72 and46.63)% respectively with comparison with other planting date. 2-its showed signifecant effects between planting date and plant growth regulators then use500 ppm(IBA and IAA) in autumn led to have higher ratio of offshoots success in both cultivars were reached (84.16,63.33)% respectively.3- use the same treatment in part (1,2) led to formation the high nember and length of roots after sex months of planting in both cultivars.
