Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims at recognizing the trends of the students of the college of education toward teaching profession and its relation with the teaching stage , specialization and gender. The researcher has adopted the analytical descriptive methodology .The sample consists of (7080) students of both sexes which represent about (24,03 % ) of the community of the research (1702) students of both sexes and of different departments. The standard of measuring trends to teaching profession prepared by the researcher. Validity and reliability have been verified and the study has lead to some important results as:1.The level of student's trend to teaching profession is (82,54) which refers to that the result is high compared to the assumptive level that represents (80) which is a high proportion of students' trend to teaching profession.2.The absence of differences of statistical significance between the levels of 1st and 4th classes to teaching profession.3.The presence of statistical significant differences among the means of the attitudes of the literary and scientific specialization.4.The presence of statistical significant differences among the means of the student's attitudes according to sex variable and for the benefit of the male . The researcher recommends the necessity of providing approaches relating to enhancing the trends of them and support them in a better way via the yearly evaluation for the approaches of the college of education and determining the approaches the department of educational sciences and psychology as well as enriching the student with a group of experiments and information related to the field of the teachers in general and specialization in particular, and accelerating to improve the material, social and professional circumstances of the profession of teaching.
