انتساب سَليِط إلى عبد الله بن عباس (رضي الله عنهما) بين الحقيقة والادعاء

Abstract

AbstractThis paper deals with a problem in the Islamic history which is related to the personality of Abdullah Bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who was ascribed by a son of one of his bondwoman, his name is Sulaitt. Abdullah Bin Abbas had denied that son when he was a live. Thus, Sulaitt claimed that after Bin Abbas died. This matter has left a group of associations relating the prerogatives that were obtained by his sons after him as they described as the caliphs of the Abbasid State, in addition to the problematic matters between the Umayyad and the Abbasid relation. When Al-Waleed Bin Abdul-Malek was the caliph, the Umayyad abused this question to belittle the high position that the Abdullah's sons were gotten, especially the position of his son (Ali) in the society. Throughout studying the available narrations, we have observed that they were weak narrations with the serials of their tracing back. Also, the results which we have obtained confirm the claim is false and the political motives were the cause of that historical question. We also concluded that the claim of Abu Muslim Al-Kharasani about his lineage to the Abbasid by Sulaitt was false.
