"The Effect of Using different Learning Methods of some Skills of Team and Individual Games"

Abstract

The study consists of five chapters. The first one deals with the introduction and importance of the study. Motor learning and teaching methods assume that there are individual differences between learners even if they are at the same age or class. Therefore there must be various teaching methods that reflect in different sport activities (team, individual sports). So it is significance to apply different methods and strategies and check its teaching effect and level of learning.There are two kinds of learning, first one uses modern methods of teaching; the second one uses the traditional ones depending on the teachers’ effort. The researcher sees that the problem of the study is that how to select the suitable kind of teaching that develop the activity through positive interactive and cooperation of the learners.The aims of the study are:1-Preparing teaching curriculum including(learning of perfection, discovery, both) to learn some basic skills of team and individual games.2-Identify the effect of the curriculum.3-Identify the best strategies and methods in learning some basic skills of team and individual games.The hypothesis of the study are:-There are differences in the result of before-after test, of the three group of the study in learning some basic skills of team and individual games for the benefit of after test.-There are differences in the results of three curriculums of learning some basic skills of individual sport gymnastics.- There are differences in the results of the test between strategies and methods of some basic skills of team game (volleyball) (receive- defense).The scopes of the study are:-Subject scope: fourth grade in the institute of Teacher Preparing-Basra.-Time scope: from (15-3 March to 29 April) 2011. -Place scope: play count of the Institute.Second chapter concerns with some theoretical studies that deal with learning, its methods. Chapter three uses the experimental method of research..Fourth chapter shows the analysis and discussion of the results. Fifth chapter deals with conclusions and recommendations. The conclusion:-The three kinds of learning are effected in learning the study's skills.-Interactive learning increases learning in the third groupThe recommendation are:-Verifying of teaching methods and strategies in teaching skills of team and individual games.- Make studies and researches about students’ behaviors through team effort and sees its effect.
