The vision of Place In The " Sword& The Word " Novel By Emadudeen Khaleel ( An analytical study )

Abstract

The Mosuli author 'Imad Deen Khaleel (the teacher of Islamic History) has been chosen to be the subject of this research due to the coherent artistic techniques that characterize his novel" The Sword And The Word " as well as the amount of experimentation the novel practices without touching the artistic requirements of the fictional structure. The place in this novel was characterized by being one of the pivots of the narrative space where the time is perfected to the extent that the latter is condensed into the former, such that Baghdad appeared as a theater of events preparing for the horror of the Mongolian invasion as well as its neighborhoods, schools, roads, bridges, markets, playfields and its stores…etc. Therefore, this research emerged through analyzing the texts of the novel relying on the contrary dualisms in order to show the artistic and the aesthetic vision of the fictional text and to vision the significances that resulted from them. The research included an introduction and three topic. The introduction of the concept of the vision place. Topic one of the horizontal and vertical vision, topic two from the whole to the part, vision from the part to the whole. Topic three from the fragmental vision, scenery fiction and inclusive vision.
