Hilla During the Era of Ottoman Governors( 1831-186 A study in Economical and 9AD) Social Affairs

Abstract

Hilla had witnessed during the period (1831-1869AD) the interest from Ottoman authorities. The taxes got from Hilla which came from the abundance of agricultural product because of water available in Shatt- al- Hilla, represented a particular kind of that interest, as a result of that important social effects had happened caused by the influence and effect of town inhabitants by areas and regions surround them. However, the town continued its commercial and economical role that imposed by its distinct geographical site. We notice that commercial relations (especially with downtown in Baghdad) and witnessed great developments that contributed in giving the town its important economical address
