Abstract

Abstract The present research aims at identifying the use of the Questioning Probing Questions in developing the skills of the scientific processes the researcher has put two null hypotheses, the first supposed no existence of statistic difference between the experimental group that is taught by the normal method of the skills of the scientific processes. The second hypothesis supposes no existence of differences in the variables of both pre-and post tests(for the two experimental and control groups) in developing the skills of the scientific processes. The experimental form with the equal groups is used. The experimental group whose number is (32) female taught by using Probing Questions, whereas the control group is having (33) female students taught with the normal method. The researcher has depended upon testing the scientific processes prepared by (Al Sumaidaee, 2002) whose number of items has reached to (27) item after improving it according to the judge's opinions, and approving its validity and reliability. The results have shown no existence of statistic differences between the experimental and the control group in the skills of the scientific processes. They have also revealed differences between the pre and past tests which indicate a development ocurring in the skills of the Scientific process on the behalf experimental group taught by using the Probing Questions.
