تأثير المستخلص المائي للرمان والنعناع على فعالية ونمو الفطر Alternaria Alternata

Abstract

Laboratory experiment achieved to study the effect of aqueous plant extracts Punica granatum L. and Mentha spicata L. on growth and infectivity of Alternaria alternate isolated from infected fruit of apple. The current study aimed to introduce alternative compound to chemical materials against plant pathogens. After detecting about the active compounds in both plant extract, The result revealed highest significant inhibition ( at p>5%) of fungal growth treated with Punnica extract at concentration 4% which was 75% while there was less significant inhibition at concentration 0.5% which was 29%. The result of the treatment of Mantha extract revealed also significant inhibition of growth rate of A. alternata at concentration 4% which was 39% while there was less significant inhibition at concentration 0.5% which was 20%. Alternaria inoculum failed to infect the un wounded fruit of apple in both treated and untreated with plant extract, while infection ratio was 33% in wounded fruit contaminated and untreated with plant extract.
