Effect of spraying Irom and Boron elements in growth and production of rice crop

Abstract

Field experiement was contacted in al-Muthana governorate/ al Najmi district during the agricultual seasons (2008-2009) to know the effect of leaves spraying with different constrations of magnesium element (0, 5,10 mgm /L) and potassium element (0,25,50 mgm K/L) on growth and production of paddy crop (Amber-33 variety), this experiement was conducted using (R.C.B.D) with three replications. The experiements showed superiority of magnesium concentrration of (10 mgm Mg/L) in achieving the highest plant hieght, branches/plant , vines/m2 , number of grain/vine and grain production which reached 3.39 and 3.22 ton/ha during 2008 and 2009 seasons respectively. The potassium constration (50 mgm/L) gave the highest average of plant height, number of branchs, leaf area, length of vine and grain production which reached 3.18 and 3.22 ton/ha during the above two seasons respectively. The interference has significant effects on number of grain/vine and grain production during the two seasons and number of branches /plant , leaf area, while the interference was significant in vine length during the two seasons. The blend (10 mgm Mg/L and 50 mgm K/L) gave the hieghest average of grain production which reached 3.39 and 3.40 ton/ha during 2008 and 2009 seasons respectively.
