The Analysis of Biology Books for the Secondary Stage According to Reproductive Health Issues

Abstract

The Objective of this research is to analyze the biology books for the secondary stage according to reproductive health issues, It is a content analysis approach . To achieve the aim of the research , a standard of reproductive health issues was built of ten issues: These are: (puberty and adolescence, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, abortion, infertility, family planning, nutrition, sexually transmitted diseases, reproduction Engineering) ,The total number of pages analyzed (1105) Pags, After the completion of the analysis and ensuring validity and. The total number of ideas concerning reproductive health issues in all the books (356) idea, The bulk of these ideas are included in the biology books for third grades average and sixth preparatory And percentages: (50%) and (41.29%), respectively, While received biology books for the first rows average and fourth Scientific on the lower number of ideas by each ideas and percentage (0.56% each), And also got (sexually transmitted diseases), the highest percentage of the ideas was (26.68%) followed by( puberty and adolescence) (21.62%), while it did not get the (abortion) and (family planning) on any percentage in six books combined . Depending on the results of research, researcher recommends more attention to reproductive health issues and further included in the curriculum and urging teachers to follow up on everything related to such issues and researcher suggests complementary studies of the results of this study.
