تقييم تراكيز المركبات الحلقية في نماذج الهواء في المنشأت النفطية

Abstract

The pollution of air caused by natural sources or industrial sources and some times the contamination came from both sources, also poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in air is being important as organic pollution substances as these substances present in the same areas of their resources, and because the use of these sources increase this lead to increase the pollution of the air by (PAHs).the areas of air that contain (PAHs) consider polluted if their concentrations increases more than the limited values, as (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) determined the limited value as(0.2mg/m3). The Reversed Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) has been used for the assessment the concentration of the Poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by using Extrasil-ODS column was found to be the suitable one for this purpose . The results showed that using mobile phase of (Acetonitrile in water) with Isocratic Elution method, flow rate of (1ml/min), column temperatures of (25˚C) and wave length of (254nm), give a complete separation with a good resolution. The total separation time was less than 42 min.The results of the study shows the pollution of Al-Dorah Refinery air by the following (PAHs) compounds in concentrations exceed the limits recommended by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) :- Naphthalene - Acenaphthylene. –Acenaphthene. - Fluorene. -phenanthrene. -Anthracene.
