Abstract
Intimidation has been employed by various authorities throughout the ages to terrify the opponents and restrict their power. Terminologically, there are two kinds of intimidation; the first is positive (divine) being related to the punishment particularly in the hereafter because it is the deserved consequence of the sin. Hence, it is to prevent from committing a bad deed. The second is the negative intimidation (human) which is the subject of the research. It is defined as "It is to raise a weapon to terrify people in land or sea, night or day, in city or village, male or female, strong or weak, in the realm of unbelievers or Islam
