Abstract

In this rescarch,the electrical characte五stics of random smcture thin fllms have been studied.The(GeSe4)a110y thin fllm and the(GeSe4)miXed With(Tc)making(GeSe4Te07),(GeSe4Te21) alnorphous thin fllins are all deposited on glass substrates by vacuum evaporation technique,at room temperatllre with(100± 2.5nm) 」hickness. The results of this study show that by increasing the telerium(Te) percentage to the films composite, the current will be increased at a certain voltage, the charge concentration will be increased too .While the electrical resistivity (p), activation energy (EJ, activation energy of hopping, and the Hall coefficient (R11) will be decreased. In addition to an increase in the thermoelectric activation energy (E"), seebeck coefficient(S), carrier concentration, and their mobilities. The x-ray diffraction technique was used ,to recognize the kind of amorphous structure which is found to be random structure thin films ,showing a positive values of seebeck effect measurements for all thin films used in this study and they are found to have a p- type electric conductivities. These results agree with The results of Hall Effect.

Abstract

ln this research study the electrical properties of the process for the two tranches of silver and Ag cross‐ section of Altnquestn thickness (50μm)waS adOpted to study the most important of these properties through three stages(type and number Of cargo carners,in addition to a1l of the connectivity and resistivity).The results showed that the resistivity of silver(1.7*10~8Ω m)and Tnquestn(5.5*10‐ 8Ω m)。

Abstract

The curvature of radius effect on modal birefringence for single- mode optical frber has been stndeed and were taken outer radius (105pm) coiled on a former for different radii ranging (29 ,40,70 mm) to induced weakly birefringence in fiber with different turns number of optical fiber optic. Show The result has been obtained from research has showed that when the curvature of radius increased, the modal birefringence magnitude decreased. The relationship between the bend of length and the bending Birefringence was linear for the same radii .Also , the relationship between the reciprocal square of the bend radius and the bend of birefringence has been studied was linear for large bend radii and the slight deviation from linearity for the small bend radii.

Abstract

Few years ago , many of simulation systems in moving generation were deveoped to grated movie image in several application as in control system, training system ,modern cinema and movie painting .Most of simulation systems and movie generation are basic depended on image operation that carry out on the level of image or part of image or target in the image therefore, we tend in this seiuch to stndy image operation that is effected on image quality and coefficient moving generation . In This study we suggested many algorithm to apply image geometric rotation operation. When we perfonn any image operation the position in many of pixel did not integer, for that reason we must form this image by mathematical interpolation . There are many interpolation methods and in this study we used three methods are di nearest interpolation, di linear interpolation and di cubic interpolation . For we know best method we calculated normalized mean square error between process images these are forming form inverse transformations for any operation and origin image In analysis results we shown the di cubic interpolation had efficiency at using basic image. Otherthan, in this research we design program to generate moving object in image by using image rotation operation that is generatig moving in level of the image.

Abstract

Thin fllms of zinc selenide ZnSe were prepared by th9111lal evaporation in vacuum with different thickness(2000-3000-5000)A deposited on glass substraties.I〕lectncal properties ofthe prepared fllms were studied at temperature(373)K then cooling to(293)K and annealing to (423)K.The graph shows linear relation between current and voltage.■e result have shown adecrease in the values of current and electncal conductivity when cooling the sarnple and after annealing and an increase in current and electncal conductivity

FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF CARBON FIBER REINFORCED UNSATURATED POLYESTER COMPOSITES

Abstract

Hand-lay up method was used to prepare the samples with unsaturated polyester(UPE)as a matnx reinforced with chopped carbon flbers(CCF).The fatigue behavior of unsaturated polyester resin/chopped carbon flber composites is studied with different weight percentage of chopped carbon ibers(2.5%,5%,7.5%,10%,12.5%).The fatigue test was carrled out under altemate bending method which made by applying sinusoidal wave with constant displacement(15 mm) the stress ratio R=-l and loading frequency 10Hz,which is believed to give a negligible temperature rise du五ng the test. The results of the maximuln stress, fatigue strength and fatigue life of the tested composites are calculated from stress(S)― number Of cycles(N)(S― N) curves.It was shown that increasing percentage of reinforcement weight increase the values of maximum stress for all composites, while the values of fatigue strength and fatigue life increasing for all composites except the composite with reinforcing weight 12.5%,which suttect to rapid failure(fraCture).ThiS failure could be due to the debonding of the chopped carbon flbers from the matrlx unsaturated polyester.

Abstract

In the present work, of CdS/Si heterojunction has been fabricated by spray pyrolysis. CdS and CdS:Cu films with different concentration of Cu were deposited on an (n+ype) and (p-type) (111) oriented single crystal silicon substrates at 400oC substrate tempreture.Hall effect denonted that the conductivity was p-type. The I-V characteristics of heterojunction under dark condition depict good rectification behavior and exponential relationship for forward current biasing. They indicated the same behavior for the Schottky model in term of forward and reverse biasing and ideality factor was (l.e).

Abstract

The aim of the present work is to dete■ 11line the uranium concentration in biological samples lung tissues and blood samples from cancer human living in]Babylon governorate by using flssion neutron source ,the concentration values were by detellllined a companson with standard salnples. The rlrst part includes the detellllination for the average uranium concentration in lung tissues samples,the results obtalned show that the higher average uranium concentration in Haiy AL― Gaziar region(0.038 ppm)after it in AL― Hashimia region(0.024 ppm)afteritin Haiy AL― Ascain region(0.0235 ppm). The second part includes the detellllination for the average uranium concentration in blood salnples,the results obtalned show that the higher average uranium concentration in blood samples in Haiy AL― Ascain region(0.42 ppm)after it in Haiy AL― Gaziar region(0.336 ppm)after it in AL― Hashimia region(0.28 ppm). Abstract

This study deals with the structural and optical properties of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films prepared on glass substrates preheated to (623K) using chemical spray pyrolysis techniques. The effect of annealing with different temperature (623, 673, 723K) has been studied. XRD analysis reveals that all the prepared thin films were polycrystalline (Hexagonal). Different peaks correspond to (101), (002), (100), (102) plane with a preferred orientation along (101) direction An increase in the intensity and the grain size with increasing the annealing temperature, while strain and density of defects decrease with increasing the annealing temperature of thin films prepared have been detected. The absorbance and transmittance spectra in the wavelength range (380-900 nm), have been recorded, the forbidden energy gap of the electronic transition was calculated, the value of the energy gap in the direct allowed transition was (3.09-2.89 eV), and for the indirect allowed transition was (2.8-2.39 eV) where the energy gap is decreased as the annealing temperature increased.

Abstract

The results of global solar radiation falling on ho五zontal surface in Mosul city for the time se五es(1980-2005)were Studied and analyzed. Gaussian model represents the nollllal dismbution Of monthly means for daily data as a function of month's nurnber of ycar only was found with local constants.This model gives a high accuracy in applying,where the correlation coefficient between measured and estimated values was (R=0.996). New two mathematical models also found in this study to estimate global solar radiation on plane surface. The first one as a function of relative humidity and cloudiness. The second as a function of difference between maximum and minimum temperatures, cloudiness and relative humidity. The Performance of both were very high and (M.A.E) not accessed 2.53Vo , 1.407o respectively. The correlation coefficient values that we obtained between measured and estimated data was (R=0.997) for the first model and (R=0.998) for the second one.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to estimate the values of global solar radiation from sunshine duration measurements for Baghdad city. Angstrom Prescott formula was used as a standard relationship between global solar radiation and sunshine duration. Measurements of these two variables for five years (1984-1988) are used to establish the relationship between these variables for winter, sprig, summer and fall, and for annual results showed the correlation coefficients (r) were (0.35, 0.50, 0.36, 0.51, 0.50) respectively. The correlation coefficients may be enhanced by introducing other Meteorological parameters

Study Transmission Laser on Short Distance by Singlemode Fiber Optic Based on Standard Deviation of Intensity

Abstract

The relation between standard deviation of spot laser and the number of turns and the variety of bending diameters of single mode fiber optic has been studied in this work at short distance (10) cm from laser source. The single-mode fiber optic made from silica and turns over different diameter cylinders (3, 5 and l0) cm in one to ten turns. We capture image for spot laser for each turn by using digital camera connected by computer to calculate the standard deviation from algorithm program. The diode laser was used with wavelength (630- 680) nm, power (5 mW). The conclusion that increasing the bending diameter led to decrease standard deviation. Increasing number of turns led to decrease the standard deviation ofred color of spot laser. Three color bands (red, green and blue) were shown in our work. In first turn, the red color was dominant. Increasing number of turns led to put the green and blue colors be dominant. The best diameter of optical fiber is the high bending diameter (10) cm, where we get high coherence.

Abstract

Thin transparent film of AlzOs has been prepared on borosilicate glass using chemical spray pyrolysis technique. Absorptance and transmittance spectra have been recording in the wave lengths arrange (350-900) nm. In order to study the constants optical such as: Reflectance(R), refractive index(no),extinction coefficient(ko) ,real and imaginary parts of the dielectric constant and optical conductivity(o) .The forbidden energy gap for both direct and indirect transitions has been calculated it was found that the energy gap decreased as the film thickness increased.

Investigation on the Conversion of the Final Uranium Concentrate.

Abstract

Batch precipitation of the final treated uranium concentrate as ammonium diuranate (ADU) or peroxide was investigated as a function of pH and excess peroxide at room temperature. It was found that as the pH increases, the amount of uranium in the supernatant decreases and at a pH between 5.0 and 6.5 an almost negligible quantities of uranium were present in the supernatant solution when ammonium hydroxide was used as the precipitant. On the other hand the quantities of uranium in the supernatant decreased as the amount of peroxide increased and at an excess of peroxide of 200Vo a negligible amount of uranium was found in the supernatant at a pH of (1.8 - 2.0).The precipitation was done from different concentrations of uranium, namely 25, 50, 100, 175, 250, and 350 glL.It is concluded that the use of ammonium hydroxide and peroxide precipitants proved to be efficient for uranium precipitations. Moreover, the first precipitant is practically preferable

By this research we can determine the best advantages between these protocols, and fixed what each protocol employ to make the internet network works best, also it shows which protocol covers large amount of users who ususe the IP protocol. The main goal of this research is a comparison between the internet protocols IPv4, IPv5 and IPv6 to determine which one of them is the best and widly used . In addition, this research explains the week points for every one to obtain the more useful one in the internet network. It is about how the address works, what the IP protocols are, and what they do.

Abstract

In this work, we construct complete and maximum (k,n)-arcs in projective plane over Galois field GF(9), where 2 < n < 9, by using geometrical method. We found (10,2)-arc, (16,3)-arc, (23,4)-arc, (32,5)-arc, (40,6)-arc, (48,7)-arc, (59,8)-arc and (71,9)-arc, all ofthem are maximum arc in PG(2,9) over GF(9).

This paper is concemed with estimation of Reliability Function of the two parameter Rayleigh distribution.Suggested lnethods for estimating the two parameter of Rayleigh distl■ bution and its Reliability Function and then a program will be presented here,also an empi五cal study depends on silnulated observations with different parameter's values and sampleis sizes from Rayleigh distl■ bution was conducted,to compare between different rnodifled methods depends on their lnean square error and to show practically that the suggested rnethods work wcn in estimation of Reliability Function.Itis shown thatthe Second Ⅳlodifled Maximum Likelihood Method is the best rnethod in the case of all sample's sizes and paralneters values used.

Abstract

Pots experiment was conducted in the green house of Biology department , College of Education ( Ibn Al-Haithum), University of Baghdad , growing season of 2009,to study three levels of Diamonium phosphate fertllizer (0,0.16,0.32) eml2Kepot this equal (0,40,80) Kg/d. respectively , three concentrations of gibberllin (0,50,100) ppm and their interaction on elements concentration (N,P,K and Ca ) and protein percentage in vegetative part of lentll (I*ns culinaris Medic. ) cv. Barka. Factorial experiment with completely randomized design with three replications was adopted . Results showed that fertilization of phosphate at different levels and concentrations ofgibberllin spray increased and significantly influenced element concentrations and protein percentage except the phosphorus concentration . Also, results showed that fertilization of phosphate and gibberllin spray has significant effect on N,K and protein percentage concentration but not significant effect on P and Ca concentration , since treatment with (80Kg/d. fertilizer and 50ppm gibberllin )gave the highest concentration of N and protein percentage , while treatment with (80Kg/d. fertilizer and l00ppm gibberllin ) gave highest concentration of K.
