HJ is a precise scientific journal issued by College of Education for Humanities and started in 2010 to emit the rays of light to different research in both Arabic and English.
Before all, it is seasonal published four times a year.the scientific evaluation of all the researches are done at the hand of experts specialized academically and linguistically from inside and abroad.
One of the achievements the journal exudes is to issue a version exclusive to the yearly scientific conference into which many researchers, from Iraq and other countries participate. In the aggregate, the journal reaches fruition ,as it receives many notes of appreciation from Iraq and other countries for the meritorious efforts.

Abstract

Ellipsis is the non-expression of sentence elements whose meaning can be retrieved by the addressee ( ). In grammatical analysis ellipsis is a term used for a sentence, where for reasons of economy, emphasis or style a part of the structure has been omitted. Using ellipsis can restrict possible readings, express otherwise ineffable meanings, clarify discourse functions and establish rapport between the addresser and the addressee.

Abstract

This paper deals with Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) as an emergent communicative environment. CMC mostly occurs in text – based modes such as web-chat , bulletin board , electronic mail , away messages , etc . By means of CMC , online classroom can be established with a variety of subjects than that of the traditional classroom. Students need to be trained to be persistent and disciplined in order to learn from online courses. Accordingly, this research responds to lack of studies written about computer mediated environment as of interest to discourse analysts and as a tool for teachers of writing as well .
