Abstract

This research was depended on a Hitler’s model to study the properties of longitudinal development in extensive air showers (EAS).The calculation of the total number of primary particles, such as Electrons, Muons, Pions and Iron nuclei was performed in the energy range between1014 and 1019eV.The estimation of depth of shower maximum (Xmax) in the atmosphere was performed for particles initiated EAS like Protons, Photons, Iron nuclei, water, Carbon, Lead, Argon and Hydrogen in the same energy range mentioned above. The comparison between theoretical andexperimental data gives good agreement

Variance Evaluation of the Electronic Energy-Loss Straggling for Swift Hydrogen- dicluster Using Harmonic Oscillator Model

Abstract

In the present work, the straggling ratios of individual proton and of hydrogen-dicluster in random and aligned orientations have been calculated, as well as the variance of the energy-loss straggling of hydrogen-dicluster in (C, Al, Ar and Xe) through a FEG with harmonically bounded electrons have been calculated in the present work. The same behavior was found for proton and hydrogen-dicluster at high velocities, where relative straggling equal to the around integer one. At low and intermediate velocities the straggling takes values below one A comparison has been made between the variance of individual proton and hydrogen-dicluster, they have the same velocity penetrating the same selected targets. The calculation gives good results; these results were agreement with previous works. In fact, the investigation of energy loss straggling of hydrogen-dicluster has been achieved by using HO-model. A program ―Jbr-HOvar. for‖ written in Fortran-90 language to solve numerically the mathematical equations of calculation using software Compaq Visual Fortran (CVF 6.6).Atomic units have been used throughout calculations in the present work.

FOCUSING OF CHARGED PARTICLES BEAM PASSING THROUGH A SYSTEM OF TWO IDENTICAL MAGNETS

Abstract

In this work, we use two magnets placed in front of the path of charged particles to obtain the best focusing of charged particles in both the horizontal and vertical planes. We trace the path of charged particles from the extraction region at the ion source, until reach to the target were traced. The process of tracing the path of charged particles is performed using matrices in each region in which passing the charged particles, starting from the extraction region reaching to the target by describing the charged particle beams as phase space ellipse in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The movement of the charged particle beams in those planes are independent from one another. Keywords

Abstract

Characteristic of Cross Gain Modulation in Quantum-Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifier by Using Three-Level Rate Equations Model

Abstract

The cross gain modulation response (XGM) in undoped quantum dots semiconductor optical amplifier (QDs-SOA) is investigated using three-level rate equations model (3LREM). Simple analytical expression is derived which directly connects the (XGM) response to the change of electron occupation probabilities in wetting layer (WL), excited state (ES) and ground state (GS). For high values of the pump level and injection current, the main XGM mechanism is the spectral-hole burning (SHB). Depending on the pump level, the 3-dB bandwidth can be tuned from 18 GHz to 39 GHz when the pump level increases from 0.5 saturation power to 0.9 saturation power. For the bias current, the 3-dB bandwidth can be tuned from 21 GHz to 35 GHz when the current increasing from 50 mA to 200 mA.

Abstract

In the present work, a study ZnO and ZnO:Al(AZO) was deposited on glass ,silicon and porous silicon(PS) substratesby the low cost spray pyrolysis technique. The porous silicon (PS) substrates were formed by electrochemical anodization on p-type (100) silicon wafer, The effect of substrate type, and doping concentration on AZO thin layers have been investigated by analysing the structural, optical, and electrical properties of the flms.It was found that all films were polycrystalline with preferred [002] orientation, from the AFM surface morphology measurement, found the RMS roughness decreases with increasing the aluminium concentration . The electrical properties showed the conductivity variation of AZO films with different doping concentrations increase with increased Al concentrations. Maximum electrical conductivity 4.25 (S.cm-1 )was obtained at a doping concentration of 3% .from I-V characteristics found The ideality factors (

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the concentrations of uranium in human teeth in some regions in Baghdad governorate. The results obtained have shown that the maximum uranium concentration in teeth samples was found to be (0.134 ppm) in AL-Sader city,,while the minimum of uranium concentration in the teeth samples in AL-Zaifranea city region (0.106 ppm) ,the minimum of uranium concentration in the teeth samples was found to be (0.064 ppm) (female,29 years old) lived in AL-Zaifranea region, while the maximum of uranium concentration in the teeth samples was found to be (0.176 ppm) (male, 55 years old ) lived in AL-Doura region.

Study of Annealing Effect on the Some Physical Properties of Nanostructured TiO2 films prepared by PLD

Abstract

Nanostructured Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) thin films were prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on the glass substrates. The effects of different annealing temperature (400, 500 and 600 °C) towards the some physical properties such as structural, morphological and optical have been studied. From X-ray diffraction result, the crystallinity of TiO2 thin films improved at higher annealing temperature. It also could be observed that the rutile phase start to exist at annealing temperatures of 500 °C and 600 °C. The Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of the (101) peaks of these films decreases from 0.450° to 0.301° with increasing of annealing temperature. AFM measurements confirmed that the films grown by this technique have good crystalline and homogeneous surface. The Root Mean Square (RMS) value of thin films surface roughness increased with increasing of the annealing temperature. From UV-VIS spectrophotometer measurements, the optical transmission results shows that the مجلة كلية التربية ............................................................. العدد الثالث 3102 140 transmission over than ~65% in the near-infrared region which decrease with the increasing of annealing temperatures. The allowed indirect optical band gap of the films was estimated to be in the range from 3.49 to 3.1 eV. The allowed direct band gap was found to decrease from 3.74 eV to 3.55 eV with the increase of annealing temperature. The refractive index of the films was found from 2.27 -2.98 at 550nm. The extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of the dielectric constant increase with annealing temperature.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this paper is to prepare polymeric composite from epoxy reinforced with Sawdust wood powder; the powder addition in two volume fraction (10 -25%) and with particle size (0.9 mm). Studied Impact strength, wear rate& hardness after immersion composite in Benzene to study mechanical & chemical behavior for composite materials. The resulting show increase wear rate and decrease Impact strength & hardness values with immersion time in benzene.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce a new class of closed sets in bitopological spaces called (1,2)* b-generalized α-closed sets. Also, we study some characterizations and basic properties of (1,2)* b-generalized α-closed sets . Further ,we define and study (1,2)* b-generalized α-closed functions . Study the Drift Velocity of Electron in Mixtures CF4, O2 and Ar

Abstract

We have calculated the electron drift velocity in pure CF4 and their mixtures with Ar and O2 (10%-80%-10%)for ratios of the electric field to the gas number density E/N from 1 Td to 1000 Td (1 Td = 10 -17 Vcm2),This is mixture is usual used in plasma etching application .The results obtained by using a simple two term solutions for Boltzmann’s equation, We found good agreement between calculated and measured values for electron drift velocity in pure CF4 and their mixtures, These results are useful for determining the electron drift velocity which is an important swarm parameter used to characterize the conductivity of a weakly ionized gas.

Abstract

Carbon nanotube based unsaturated polyester resin composites have been fabricated using sonication principle distribution behavior of carbon nanotubes in the resin matrix was examined through Scanning Electron Microscopy. Dielectric properties have been measured by using (impedance analyzer Agilent 4294 A), were measured impedance, dielectric constant and dissipation factor as a function of CNTs loading and frequency. Results showed that the dielectric constant, dissipation factor are increased with increased the concentrate ion of additional carbon nanotubes and frequency of applied electrical field and decreased with the increase of frequency. أسندت أنابيب الكربون النانوية مادة متراكبة ذات اساس بوليمري (بولي استر غير مشبع) مصنعة باستخدام مبدأ الموجات فوق الصوتية وقد درس سلوك التوزيع لأنابيب الكربون النانوية في البوليمر بإستخدام الماسح الضوئي للمجهر الإلكتروني. تم قياس خصائص العزل الكهربائي بإستخدام محلل الممانعة اجيلنت 4294 A ( impedance analyzer Agilent 4294 A)، كانت الممانعة المقاسة وثابت العزل الكهربائي ومعامل الفقد كدالة لإضافة انابيب الكربون النانوية والتردد. وأظهرت النتائج أن ثابت العزل الكهربائي ,معامل الفقد يزداد مع زيادة تركيز إضافة أنابيب الكربون النانوية وتردد المجال الكهربائي المطبق وانخفضت هذه القيم مع زيادة التردد.

Abstract

Theoretical study for calculating molecular structure parameters of anthracene and its simplest derivatives with electron–withdrawing groups (di-nitro NO2) in different positions were performed using density functional theory (DFT). The Substituent effect on the electronic and structure properties for the positional variation of the nitro substituent's in the anthracene were investigated. The optimized structure, total energies, electronic states, energy gaps, ionization potentials, electron affinities, chemical potential, global hardness, softness, global electrophilictity, dipole moment and dipole polarizability were calculated. The harmonic vibrational frequencies calculated and compared with available experimental data. The results showed a decrease in energy gaps and improve the electronic properties. Keywords: DFT,

Abstract

In this paper we Calculate relaxation time for longitudinal and perpendicular magnetic recording media, respectively as a function of normalized applied field h and attempt frequency o f at different value of the thermal stability factor r= 20,40,60,100, where, a small values of r lead to thermal unstable, while large values lead to thermal stable. In experiment results, the attempt frequency is often taken as constant, but in this research we used attempt frequency as the function of the temperature, applied field, volume grain and the damping constant. o f can be calculated from Fokker-Planck equation (FPE). We have found that the attempt frequency is typically about 10 HZ 11 and 10 HZ 10 for longitudinal recording and perpendicular recording, respectively, which is much largerthan the commonly used estimate of 10 HZ 9 . في هذا البحث حسبنا زمن الاسترخاء لوسائط التسجيل المغناطيسي الطولي والعمودي على التوالي كدالة للمجال المطبق العياري h وتردد المحاولة عند قيم مختلفة لعامل الاستقرار الحراري r= 20,40,60,100)) ، حيث ان قيم r الصغيرة تؤدي الى عدم استقرار حراري ويكون زمن الاسترخاء اقصر بكثير بينما قيم r الكبيرة تؤدي الى استقرار حراري. في التجارب ، غالبا ما يؤخذ تردد المحاولة كثابت ولكن في هذا البحث استعملنا تردد المحاولة كدالة لدرجة الحرارة ، المجال المطبق، حجم الحبيبة وثابت الاضمحلال. يمكن حسابها من معادلة فوكر بلانك . وجدنا تردد المحاولة نموذجيا بحدود و للتسجيل المغناطيسي الطولي والعمودي على التوالي وهي قيمة اكبر بكثير من القيمة التخمينية المستعملة عموما .
