HJ is a precise scientific journal issued by College of Education for Humanities and started in 2010 to emit the rays of light to different research in both Arabic and English.
Before all, it is seasonal published four times a year.the scientific evaluation of all the researches are done at the hand of experts specialized academically and linguistically from inside and abroad.
One of the achievements the journal exudes is to issue a version exclusive to the yearly scientific conference into which many researchers, from Iraq and other countries participate. In the aggregate, the journal reaches fruition ,as it receives many notes of appreciation from Iraq and other countries for the meritorious efforts.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology and mass media, the design of advertisements varies greatly. It is obviously seen that advertisers are putting great effort in the use of language which is becoming more and more delicate and offering much for thought. Advertisements ( ads) language is considered as rhetorical genre which attracts the readers' (Rs’) attention and interest. In this type of communication, designers often employ various strategies in which pragmatics plays the protagonist's role. These strategies are appeals drawn from the argumentative construction of advertisement language to consider how to produce a reasonable emotion in an audience (pathos)

Was Jane Austen a feminist?Very often this question has been asked by many critics. But before answering this question, let’s define feminism. Feminism is generally defined as a “philosophy in which women and their contributors are valued. It's based on social, political and economical equality for women." Abstract

Alfred Edward Housman (1859- 1936) is one of the greatest English literary figures. He is a poet, a professor, and a critic at the same time. He reflects a profound interest in the classical philosophers and writers. So he reads for the Greeks, the Romans, Latin and even the early English poets, who are significant source to develop his views and realizations about poets and poetry. The matter that leads his poetry to be simple at the first look, but it underlies tremendous thoughts and important meanings to the learned reader.
