Description of The Journal
The Journal is one of the major contribution to the Scientific Research Programmes at University of Kufa. It is published by Faulty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the University of Kufa.
The Journal is mainly concern with publications of a high quality researches that meet the publication conditions in a specialist of Mathematics and Computing. It is quarterly journal, to include two numbers during a year (paper and electronic).
The journal release its first issue successfully in April 2010, followed by four other numbers that contain several papers submitted for publication, of which many papers presented and accepted by our first scientific conference held by our faculty, entitled “Recent Trends in Information Technology and Mathematics for the period 13-14 April 2011 .
The last number V is dedicated to papers presented and accepted at our second scientific research conference, entitled “The First International Scientific Conference for Information Technology , Telecommunications and E-learning for the period 24 – 25 April 2012. The Conference is held by our faculty in co-operation with College of Education for Girls and College for Education, and Research Centre for Information Rehabilitation.

The Application Of Artificial Neural Network To Detect The Position Of Human Face In Digital Image

Abstract

One of the important parts in human face recognition is detecting face position. In this paper a implement face position detection experiment using (Artificial NeuralNetwork,ANN) to give outputs of human face number, position and dimension as found in a digital image. The system is trained using available ace samples. Quickprop algorithm and active learning method are used to speed the system training process up. And also indicate the comparison of the training time with standard Backpropagation algorithm and the training with Quickprop algorithm. The experiment is conducted using 200, 300 and 400 data. For each of the trainings, the iteration is stopped when the error value reaches 0.05. It is observed that the bigger number of the training data of the Quickprop algorithm causes significant increase in the training rate. Based on the resultsof the experiment with 14 files containing 273 face images, the face detection system gives 70.24% detection rate and 62 false positives.

Abstract

In this paper , we introduce the concept of compactly f-closed set. In this work , we have also shown that where X is a T2-spase,then a subset A of X is compactly f-closed if and only if A is an f-closed set . Moreover , we have studied the concept of compactly f-k-closed set and shown that if the space is T2, then compactly if – closed is equivalent to compactly f-k-closed

Abstract

In this paper ,we study estimation of two parameters of Weibull distribution .Methods of estimation used are maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) and Bayes. We compared the numerical results by simulation in MATLAB program. The comparison show that the Bayes estimator gives the best results ( less error) .

In this paper, we study the direct sum of min (max)-CS modules. We show that the direct sum of min (max)-CS modules need not be min (max)-CS module. So we give many sufficient conditions under which the direct sum of min (max)-CS modules become min (max)-CS module

Abstract

E-learning is becoming globally widespread and more common. The usefulness of interactive systems in e-learning lies not in performing the processing task itself but in communicating requests and results between the system and its user. Therefor the E-Learning can offer great chances to students with disabilities that can access its application through an alternative channel using Human- Computer interaction (HCI) methods. This paper tries to review the various methods of (HCI) used for mobility disabilities and implement one of these methods using Electrooculography (EOG) signals to write using a virtual keyboard.

Abstract

This paper presents a face detection technique based on two techniques: wavelet Gabor filter for extract features from the localized facial image and neuro fuzzy system used as classifier depending on the features that extract , where it is used to determine the faces in the input image by draw boxes around the faces. The neurofuzzy network will be train on 128 image (69 face and 59 non face, size of each image 16*27 pixel in gray scale , this mean it trained to choose between two classes “face” and “non-face” images. Our approach has been tested on eight common images with different face number in image and different number of fuzzy set. We got the best detection rate is 89.3% in case threshold equal 0.2 and in case number of fuzzy set equal 2. The stages of this work are implemented in MATLAB 7.0 environment.

Abstract

Let R be a commutative ring with identity . It is well known that a topology was defined for Spec(R)={I:IisaprimeidealofR} called the Zariski topology (prime spectrum) . In this paper we will generalize this idea for near prime ideal . If N be a commutative near-ring with identity ,P_N be a near prime ideal of N and define Spec(N)={P_N:P_N isanearprimeideal } . Then Spec(N) can be endowed with a topology similar to the Zariski topology which is called near Zariski topology (near prime spectrum) .we studies and discuss some of properties of such topology .

Abstract

This paper applied PCA on infertility set of data, that was collected from Al-Nasiriya province. Infertility of women that have been unable to conceive a child after one year of their marriage without birth control. Since infertility is very common among Iraqi women. Hence our research mainly concern with this disease in order to identify the causes that contribute to this problem.
