In this work absorbed , backscattering and transmitted probability coefficients has been calculated via Monte Carlo simulation technique PsMCS ( positronium Monte Carlo Computer Simulation ) for a high energetic positrons implanted normally into a semi finite Polytetrafluoroethylene target ( PTFE ) with its two components. Comparison with available references yields good quantitative agreement for dynamics factors.

The experiment was conducted in the College of Science experimental field / University of Diyala , during the spring season 2006 on maize plant (Zea mays L.)IPA (3003) in Loamy sand soil . The experiment was carried out using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) . The soil was sterilized by Basamid Pesticide (Fungal - Nematodal) . Eight treatments combination for the experiment was applied through using of two levels of the first factor (Humic acid) and four levels of the second factor (Fungal inoculation). Humic acid levels were (with and without supplementation), Where as Fungal inoculation levels were (no fungal ; Glomusmosseae ; Trichodermaharzianumand Glomus + Trichodermacombination). Three replicates for each treatment combination were used 24 experimental units for the experiment). To investigate the effects of Humic acid and Fungal inoculation and their interaction at a sterile soil on the growth and yield characteristics of maize Plants .Plant samples were taken after 30 days from sowing, at flowering and harvesting stages. The results obtained can be summarized as follows :- 1 - The supplementation of Humic acid caused a significant increase in plant height after 30 days from sowing and at harvesting stage , shoot dry weights, the percentage of mycorrhiza infection , grain yield , weight of 100 grain. 2 - Inoculation with V.A.M Fungus appeared to have significantly increased in all signs of plant growth. 3 - The combined treatment of both, the Fungus G. mosseae and T. harzianum showed a significant effects on all signs of plant growth. 4 - The treatments combination of Humic acid supplementation with the two fungus G. mosseae and T. harzianum showed a significant increase in plant height and the percentage of mycorrhiza infection after 30 days from sowing and at harvesting stage, the weight of shoot dry and 100 grain , as compared with other treatments combination. Besides, the superiority of supplementing Humic acid with the Inoculum G. mosseae regarding plant height and the percentage of mycorrhiza infection at flowering stage , grain yield and leaf area . But, there was anon- significant difference between the two treatment.

Diabetes mellitus )DM( is a chronic disease cannot be cured, and is a combined with serious complications especially after 10-20 years .Diabetic foot (DF) is one of severe diabetes mellitus complications and include ulcers and infection of feet. C-reactive protein(C-RP) is an acute-phase protein, rises in the blood as response to infection.The aim of this study is to assessment of C-reactive protein in diabetic foot patients and its relationship with Age and BMI in a sample of Iraqi patients with type2 diabetes mellitus.The study included twenty five (25) diabetic foot patients aged (36-77 years) with type 2 DM (duration ranged from 2-31 years) compared with twenty five patients aged (43-76 years) with type 2 DM without diabetic foot (duration ranged from 1-32 years) as patients control group and thirty (30) healthy subjects aged(42-80 years) as healthy normal control group.Fasting blood glucose and hs-CRP were determined in patients and control groups. C-RP concentrations were assessed by using the Enzyme linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. Results: The patients with diabetic foot lesions were found to be poorly controlled and had significantly higher levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG) (p<0.001) compared to patients without diabetic foot lesions and control groups. The patients with diabetic foot lesions were found to had significantly higher levels of C-RP (p<0.001) compared to patients without diabetic foot lesions and control groups. CRP levels were significantly increased in diabetic foot patients with increase of age and body mass index (BMI). Conclusion: Increasing of infection ability according to increasing of age and BMI for diabetic foot patients.

Ceramic coatings (enamels) are normally to protect and isolate metallic surfaces against aggressive environments. In the present work, a set of low alloy steel plates are coated with a special ceramic – glass layer. The stability of which is investigate in terms of its nature adhesion, and the nature of the protected metal surface. These are considered to control the final performance of the laminated composite. Factors which are investigated are those related to the mechanical integrity of ceramic coat, like the porosity, hardness, glossiness, and thermal resistance. And those related to the state of bonding between the metal surface and the protective coating like adhesion index, coat thickness, and the percentage of carbon present in the low alloy steel surface. Moreover, the corrosion behavior of the coated metal surface was studied to investigate the performance of this protective barrier. During this work some measures were taken in an attempt to modify and develop this protective barrier by adding of various amounts of CoO to the basic ceramic mix of coat. It is notice that the overall coat thickness would progressively reduce stability and encourage the pore formation. However the addition of CoO to a certain limit of concentration has progressively enhanced the adhesion with metal surface, the glossiness of the ceramic barrier, its thermal resistance.

The inhibition activity was tested for the extracts of Myrtus communis leaves which included the extract( aqueous, ethanol, acetonic, petroleum ether, chloroformic )as well as the essential oils for the leaves isolated by distillation apparatus steam in the growth some pathogenic kinds of bacteria and by using Sensitivity tests including Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus which were Isolated from patient attendance to the Ibn-Sina Teaching hospital, Ibn-Al-Ather hospital for children. The micro-organis were isolated by using selective media and were diagnosed by microbiologcal method and the biochemical tests.The results indicated that all the extracts possessed prohibition activity towards the positive and negative germs with various prohibition diameters according to the kind of extract,and the nature of the effective components, and focus gradation. The alcoholic extract showed higher prohibition activity on the germs compared to the other extracts. The essential oil showed prohibition activity for both positive and negative bacteria, but its effect was higher on the positive micro-organis - in all used concentrations.

In this work, four profiles (Chang, modified Chang, Ernst 4th order and Ernst 8th order) were considered to fabricate discharge electrodes of a TEA-CO2 laser from SiC composite. These four profiles were studied and simulated to optimize the distribution of electric field intensity on the electrode surface. As the profile of discharge electrode determines the uniformity of electric field over the whole discharge volume, it was considered experimentally as a reference to choose the best profile. Results show that Ernst 8th order profile is the best among the all simulated and tested profiles. This study may assist the designers of CO2, Excimer and N2 gas lasers to optimize the laser system during the designing course by adopting the most efficient profile of the discharge electrodes.

The present study dealt with the pollen grains morphology of four wild species belonging to the genus Althaea L. that grown in Iraq which were A. cannabina L., A. hirsute L., A. ludwigii L. and A. officinalis L. study. The results showed that pollen grains were spheroid, sub spheroid, medium – large in size, pantoporate, spinules, and granular in ornamentation. The pollen sizes showed variations among the species, where the smallest was recorded in A. ludwigii 38.85 μm while the largest was in A. cannabina 78.5 μm. The species also varied in spinules shapes, lengths and their base, where they ranged from 0.75 μm in A. officinalis to 1.8 μm in A. cannabina in length, the width ranged from 0.3 in A. officinalis to 1.2 in A. hirsuta ,the diameter of the apertures was 0.25 μm in A. officinalis which was the smallest while the largest was 1.33 μm in A. cannabina . Wall thickness was 0.5 μm in A. officinalis which was the smallest while the largest 1.45 μm. was in A. cannabina.

The concentration of monosodium glutamate (MSG) was determined in fifty two samples of canned meat and fish, meat products in Iraqi markets. (HPLC) method was used after water extraction and derivatization of MSG with dinitrofluorobenzen reagent (DNFB) using reversed phase and C18. 15cm×4.6mm Pratical size (5μm) column. The DNP- amino acid was eluted with 25% acetonitrile: 75% glacial acetic acid (1%w/v) and detected at 254nm. The calibration curve of derivatized MSG was plotted (31.25-500ppm) to determine the quantity of MSG in samples. The peak of standard MSG was identified at)1.826-1.883min(. MSG concentration in different samples was in the range of 13.612-4415.6mg/kg of the samples The detection limits and quantification limit were )0.006ppm),(0.02ppm) respectively. A modified spectrophotometric method using molybdate ion MoO-2 for the determination of sodium phosphate in same samples. The method is based on the reaction of phosphates in the samples with the molybdate ion to produce colorless phosphomolybdate ion [PO4.12MoO3] 3-.The molybdenum blue was formed after reductions with SnCl2 which give a maximum intenseity at wavelength 620nm The detection limits and quantification limit were (0.00012),(0.000394)mg/ml respectively, phosphate concentration in samples was found in the range of )1068.36-6534.00mg/kg ( of sample weight. The two methods were applied successfully for determination of MSG and phosphate in samples.

The current study was conducted to measure the total concentration of heavy metals (Zn,Cd,Pb,Cu) in contaminated soil in Baiji oil refinery at Salah -alden governate, Iraq . Forty one samples were collected from different area distributed in two stations . The total concentration of heavy metals in soil samples were extracted by digestion of soil with concentrated nitric acid . The AAS was used to determine the metals at specific wave length and Hallow Cathode Lamp (HCL).Metal speciation was also determined by AAS after extraction of the metal with different chemical reagents .

Undoped and AL,Cu-doped ZnO at (3-7 wt. %) thin films have been prepared by by chemical spray pyrolysis on glass substrates at 400ºC. The structural and optical properties of these films were studied. The results of the structural tests showed that these films are of a polycrystalline hexagonal structure with a preferred orientation in the (002) direction, the optical properties included.transmittance, energy gap. The energy gap values were found to decrease from (3.3ev) for ZnO pure to(3.29- 3.2 eV) for ZnO:AL films and(3.2-3.26) for ZnO:Cu films. the average transmittance was found about (90%) in the visible region.

The study treated temperature and humidity's effect on Spread of sulfur dioxide (SO2) at Baghdad city , since that the research selected two regions of Baghdad which they are (Jadiriya and Waziriya) through time period (2012-2011) . The results showed that the effect of temperature on Spreading of (SO2) Illustrated in the summer due to increasing 0f temperatures more than in winter, in same time , the expansion of air causes revitalization of this act. The humidity activated (SO2) , since that the spreading of sulfur dioxide in the winter comes as a result's of moisture significantly , and it may have a role in the formation of acid rain at Baghdad , so Moisture is the catalyst most relevant prevalence of sulfur dioxide gas .

This investigation was designed to determine the effect of Dill alcoholic extract administration during the last trimester of gestation until the 11th day of lactation on milk quantity and quality . Ten pregnant rats at 15th day of gestation divided randomly into two group: control group received physiological normal saline daily from 15th day of gestation till 11th day of lactation. Treated group received alcoholic extract of dill daily in dose (0.017gm )from 15th day of gestation till 11th day of lactation. At the 10th day of lactation the litters were isolated from their mother overnight then reunited and allowed to suckling for 1hr then the mother and litters were weighted. They were anesthetized for blood collection and estimated some plasma milk related component like plasma glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, total protein, albumin, globulin and calcium which they are reflect on milk quality then the mothers and litters were sacrificed for mammary glands isolation and stomachs of litters in order to estimate the milk quantity. The results showed that Dill alcoholic extract produce relative increase in the mammary gland weight at the 11th day of lactation; while the litter weight gain, litter stomach weight and prolactin hormone concentration recorded significant increase p<0.01 as compare to control group. The results of biochemical study revealed that Dill alcoholic extract caused a significant increase in plasma globulin, triglycerides and calcium at eleventh day of lactation while plasma total protein, albumin, cholesterol and glucose showed un significantly increase in treated group as compare to control. In conclusion, Dill alcoholic extract act as slightly mammogenic and highly lactogenic, probably by its indirect action on mammary gland and the Dill alcoholic extract increase the quality of milk through the enhancement the extraction of some essential milk component from plasma.

Geopotential height is one of meteorological variable that widely used to understand the atmosphere by focuses on wind motion in atmosphere and on its General Circulation Motion (GCM) yield on its valences. The temperature is an indication for heat energy variance because it feeds the wind system and it widely insist on air system and Geopotential height. The methodology proposed and adopted in this work is based on the seasonal ensemble model from (European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting) (ECMWF). the data were obtain for 10 years from 1989 to 1990 and for 500 hpa and 700 hpa layers to show the coherence between these two layers for variables (Temperature - Geopotential height) over Baghdad city and over all region and for winter and summer, the data value taken in statistical way, as Analyses the geopotential height and temperature the result shows that there is a high effect on geopotential height pattern from the variation of temperature value on summer and winter. the statistical way show that the geopotential height value vary in harmony with temperature value for both seasons and for both study layers , for example the geopotential height value belongs on 500 hpa in 1985 year to 55200 (m/s)2 on winter where the temperature is -17.5 0c and it increase in summer by increasing temperature on the same level belonging to 57850 (m/s)2 when the temperature is -5.7 0c , and we found that there is a same behavior on 700 hpa level for all study years, but in general the relation is high between temperature and geopotential height and become bigger in winter as compared with summer seasons .

Caching is a fundamental technique commonly employed to hide the latency gap between memory and the CPU by exploiting locality in memory accesses. Different cache replacement algorithms have dramatically different effects on the system performance by deciding which blocks to evict from cache memory in case of a cache miss occurs. The aim of these replacement techniques is trying to get closer to the optimal case by achieving best usage of the total size of the cache, minimizing the miss ratio as much as possible and accomplishing the highest system performance can be reached. In this paper, a simple and elegant new algorithm is proposed, namely, Two-Dimensional Pyramid Replacement, (2-DPR), that combines the advantages of (LRU) and (LFU), and eliminates their disadvantages.

The study aimed to measure the activity of gamma-glutamyl transferase enzyme and some biochemical parameters in serum of patients with inflammation gallbladder in Baqubah Teaching Hospital for the period (12-3-2015 to 23/05/2015). they study included 100 case patints with inflammation gallbladder of females. also it included a study on (50) samples of Healthy females (control) as comparison group.The results showed a significant increase in the enzyme gamma-glutamyl transferase activity in patients with level of probability P≤ 0.01 compared with the control, where the activity of the enzyme gamma-glutamyl transferase rate (126.58 ± 33.44UI / L) in the serum of patients with inflammation gallbladder and (11.25 ± 4.88 UI / L) in the control group. the results showed a significant increase in the rate of AST and ALP enzymes activity in serum of patients compared to the control. While the results showed no significant difference in total protein concentration in the serum of patients and control.we can get these samples of blood from surgical unit in Baqubah Teaching Hospital.

Determining the level of concentration of cadmium in the blood of the umbilical cord of neonatal and their mothers may serve as an indicator of the extent of the pollution of the environment with this element. It may also indicate the extent of the exposure to this element especially that this element has the capability of passing through placenta. This study aims at determining the concentration of (Cadmium, Zinc and Copper) and the concentration of Glutathione in the blood of the umbilical cord of neonatal and their mothers in Tikrit city and Arbeda town which is an agricultural town. For this study, 160 samples of mothers blood and of the umbilical cords of their neonatal were collected and 50 blood samples were collected as a control group. Metal elements were discovered in the blood of the mothers and their neonatal by using the atomic absorption spectrometer. The results of the current study showed that the rate of mothers and neonatal who have the cadmium in their blood was higher in Tikrit city than those in Arbeda town. The results also showed a significant decrease P<0.05 in the concentration of zinc and glutathione in the serum of pregnant women and the umbilical cord compared to the control group. An increase in copper concentration rate in the blood of pregnant women and umbilical cord compared to the control group.

This study was aimed to determine the prevalence of Giardia duodenalis from human stool samples during a period started from September 2012 to May 2013 in Al-Karkh region/Baghdad by using direct microscopic examination and to measure the concentration of immunoglobulin IgM, IgG, and IgA in serum of 50 infected patients by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Results revealed, from 1194 human stool samples Giardia duodenalis was detected in 256 samples and the infection rate was 21.44%.Sex of the patients had significantly influence on the total infectivity rate, in males, females were 20.58% , 22.93% respectively. A significant effect of age on incidence of infection was noticed, the higher rate was recorded in children aged ≤ 10 years old 27.18% in comparison with 14.54% of patients aged ˃ 10 years old. The mean concentration antibodies specific for Giardia duodenalis in serum samples showed Significant differences (p< 0.05) between infected and non- infected humans and also among age groups of infected patients. The higher concentrations of IgM, IgG, and IgA were obtained in patients aged 2-12 years old in comparison with other age category .The conclusion of this study demonstrated significant differences in Giardia-antibodies levels between infected and non-infected individuals and among age groups. ELISA can be used for detection and differentiation between acute and chronic infection .

Image preprocessing has assumed an essential part in Arabic Handwriting Recognition System (AHRS). It has several stages which affect the accuracy of the recognition system. An efficient preprocessing framework for Arabic handwriting recognition system has been proposed in this paper. Since preprocessing stage in AHRS is imperative to reduce the dimensionality of image to remove the undesirable information then increase the processing speed of the AHRS. Besides, it provide correction process for the dataset elements to make it work probably through several processes that will discuss in this paper. Exploratory results with artificial and real life images shows that, the proposed method gives an efficient results that help to get a high recognition rate in the AHRS.

This study included collection of 300 clinical and environmental samples (vaginal swabs, wounds, hands of the workers, patients' bed, surgical tools, and floors) from the hospitals of Diyala Province. The results showed that 40 (21.6%) of the isolates were belonging to Enterobacteriaceae and 10 (25%) were Enterobacter cloacae, by using diagnostic phenotypic, biochemical tests and the identification was confirmed by using regular api20E and VITEK 2 system. The results of the investigation of some virulence factors showed that Enterobacter cloacae was not able to produce haemolysin. The formation of biofilm was detected by micrometer tube method, and Enterobacter cloacae was able to formation biofilm at a percentage of 90%, while all isolates of Enterobacter cloacae were not able to produce urease. All the isolates (100%) have Siderophores, 70% of the isolates were able to produce bacteriocin, while 60% of the isolates were able to produce -lactamase. In regards to the resistance to antibiotics, the results showed that 90% of the isolates were resistant to cefixime and tobramycin. imipenem was the most effective antibiotic and showed 100% activity. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) for 5 antibiotics ( amoxicillin, cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin, streptomycin, and nalidixic acid) ranged between 64-1024, 32-1024, 2-1024, 128-1024, 8-1024 μgml for the five antibiotics, respectively. The results showed that the combination of ciprofloxacin, streptomycin, and cefotaxime at a ratio of 1:3 was the best among other ratios, while the combination of cefotaxime and ciprofloxacin showed 80% synergistic effects against four isolates. In addition, combination of streptomycin and cefotaxime showed 80% synergistic effect against four isolates. Outcome of the plasmid profile for the isolates Enterobacter cloacae1 indicated that isolate contains one band of mega plasmid. Curing was conducted by using acridin orange and plasmids were lost at a concentration of 1024 μg / ml for Enterobacter cloacae1. Results indicate that all isolates showed resistance to antibiotics ciprofloxacin and Co-trimoxazole, while lost resistance to amikacin, augmentin, ampicillin, gentamycin and cefotaxime.
