Assessment of Risk factors For myocardial Infraction in Sample of Patients Attending in Coronary Care Unit Ward in AL-Zahra hospital-Karbala City

Abstract

The objective of the present study is to determine the rate of myocardial infarction among sample patients attending in CCU medical ward in AL-Zahra hospital and to identify factors associated with the myocardial infarction (age, gender, residence, occupation and educational level ), Family history (hypertension…..etc. A case control study conducted in Karbala city / AL-Zahra hospital /medical ward /CCU for cardio pulmonary care unit.. Sampling was (non probability convenient ) the study was included 100 cases and 100 controls.. The study was started from 15th July 2015 to the 20th October 2015. Data was collected by questionnaire to obtain socio- demo graphic information. The result shows that mean age of the subjects was 49.02± 8.3 years, and the 23.5% were Free profession ; about (24.5%) of patient with myocardial infarction were smokers. Analyses of results by (chi-square test ) show that (unemployment, low educational level, Family history for hypertension, overweight, chronic diseases: there is a high significant association between hypertension and myocardial infarction, smoking and lipid profile ) were significant factors associated with myocardial in fraction . Conclusions This study showed the rate of myocardial infraction was 12.5 % among age group (51-60) year, factors that were associated with higher rate of myocardial infraction were unemployment, low educational level, Family history for hypertension, overweight and chronic diseases: there is a high significant association between hypertension and myocardial infarction, smoking and lipid profile.

Abstract

The use of Cosine transform to analyze the model-noise pattern alteration with different vibration model applied on multimode fiber optics are studied. It's results compared with the Fourier transform to perform the same analysis using total frequency difference and the computation time, which almost coincide for the both transforms. A discussion for the results and recommendation are introduced.

Theoretical Spectroscopic Study for Some Diatomic Molecules

Abstract

In this work, four electronic states ( , , and ) of some diatomic molecules (InF and InCl) was studied by TD-DFT with energy represented by the exchange-correlation energy. The SAOP/ATZP model was applied here to determine all parameters (re, Be, De, , , Te , and were determined to creation reliable values for electron spectroscopy. Also, another set of this calculation has been used represented by two theoretical models: ATZP and et-QZ3P-xD model. Therefore these theoretical models for ( and , and ) of the molecules have been compared with many values, theoretical and experimental values, and appear convergence in values with simple error %. Our results showed that the TD-DFT with basis set in the present work is important for the estimation of spectroscopic parameters and constants for our molecules and the ATZP model is very close to et-QZ3P-xD model in all electronic states for InF and InCl molecules except some of the constants such as (Be).

Determination and measuring some of the physical and chemical parameters in the clay of Lake Hamrin, Iraq

Abstract

The composition of the clay taken from the lake of Hamrin, Iraq was studied with the determination of the concentrations of the major oxides and the minor oxides in it. Kaolinite was the most dominant clay in the samples, while quartz was the most abundant non-clay mineral. Some physico-chemical parameters in lake's water were determined such as oxygen, a chlorosity, nutrient salts, pH, total alkalinity, total nitrogen, total phosphorous and silicate. The effect of increased wastewater and human activities affected the composition of water and lead to a decrease in the productivity of the lake which was reflected by the relatively low pH values (average 8.0) and alkalinity in water as a result of the pollution. An increase in the levels of ammonia (average 5.5 IM), nitrite (average 1.6 IM) and nitrate (15IM average) were apparently due to the influence of large quantities of wastewater expelled into the lake and the utilization of ammonia by aquatic organisms with a slow assimilation. Reactive phosphate showed lower concentration in samples collected in the mid of the lake comparing with samples collecting from the shores which indicate the influence of enriched wastewater with phosphate matters.

Abstract

The available experimental data of proton electronic stopping power for Polyethylene, Mylar, Kapton and Polystyrene are compared with Mathematica, SRIM2013, PSTAR and libdEdx programs or databases. The comparison involves sketching out both experimental and databases data for each polymer to discuss the agreement. Further, we use statistical means via standard deviation resulting from the mean normalized difference to describe the precise agreement among the databases and the experimental data. We found that there is not a specific one database can describe the experimental data for certain material at given proton energy.

Abstract

A newly developed FIA-merging zones spectrophotometric system, the method is rapid, accurate and sensitive for metformin hydrochloride determination through the oxidation of 1- naphthol by sodium hypochlorite and coupling with metformin.HCl in the presence of sodium hydroxide to form a blue soluble ion pair and this product was determined using homemade CFIA-Merging zones techniques , at 580 nm. Data treatment shows that linear range is (0.5-35) μg/ ml. The optimization conditions for various chemical and physical conditions of [MTF- NaOCl-α-naphthol-NaOH] system were investigated. The LOD was 0.01μg / ml and LOQ 0.1μg/ml from the lowest concentration of the calibration graph with r2% 99.18 and RSD% did not exceed 3%, sample through put 48 sample/h while percentage recovery (Rec.%) were from 97-100% , indicate no interferences of the tablet excipients. The method was applied successfully, for estimation of metformin in environmental samples of water and pharmaceutical drugs. Statistical analysis of results was compared, shows the method can be regarded as an alternative analytical way for determining of metformin. hydrochloride in bulk and dosage forms samples

Synthesis, Spectroscopic and Theoretical Studies of Some New Transition Metal Complexes with Mixed ligands Schiff Base and Bipyridyl

Abstract

The complexes Shiff base and mixed ligands complexes of bipyridyl and Schiff base 1,5-dimethyl-4-(5-oxohexan-2-ylideneamino)-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one (L) with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(II) and Co(II) were prepared. The compounds have been characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, mass and 1H and 13C-NMR spectra, magnetic moment, elemental microanalyses (C.H.N.), chloride containing, atomic absorption and molar conductance. The studies made are indicating towards octahedral geometry for these complexes. Hyper Chem-8 program has been used to prediction structural geometries of compounds in gas state, the heat of formation, binding energy, total energy and electronic energy and dipole moment at 298oK. Abstract

New derivatives of thiosemicarbazide were synthesized by reaction of different aromatic aldehydes and ketones with thiosemicarbazide to give schiff-bases 1(a-d) . schiff-bases have been used for synthesized the thioimidazolidine 2(a-d) by reaction of schiff-bases with ethyl chloroacetatein in presence of anhydrous sodium acetate that transformed part of it in to Beta-lactam 3(a-b) compounds with phenyl acetic acid and thionyl chloride , The compounds 4(a-b) came from the reactor of 4-bromobenzaldehyde with compounds 2(a-b) , as well as reaction of compounds 2(b-d) with methyl iodide and anhydrous potassium carbonate to give 5 (b-d) , then added hydrazine hydrate formed 6(b-d) , then reaction with acetic anhydride to prepare 7(b-d) , The biological activity of the synthesized compounds was also studied . All newly compounds were characterized by using the proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) ,mass spectra (Ms) , fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) ,ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy spectra , and studied their physical properties.

Abstract

The glucagon-like peptide-1 is secreted by intestinal L cells in response to nutrient ingestion. It regulates the secretion and sensitivity of insulin while suppressing glucagon secretion and decreasing postprandial glucose levels , additionally, glucagon-like peptide-1 delays gastric emptying and suppresses appetite. The impaired secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 has negative influence on hyperlipidemia, diabetes and insulin resistance related diseases the levels of its secretion change with the intake of different nutrients. Some drugs also have influence on GLP-1 secretion .

Abstract

A simple, sensitive, accurate, and precise spectrophotometric method for the determination of clonazepam (CLNZ) was developed. The method is based on charge transfer reaction between CLNZ and p-Bromanil (p-Br) to form a colored complex. The optimum conditions of complex formation were investigated by (1). Unvariable method, for the optimization of reagent concentration, base concentration, temperature, and time. (2). Multivariable simplex method including the effect of three experimental factors via; reagent concentration, concentration of NaOH and time. The linearity range of CLNZ was (1-30) μg.mL-1 at 378 nm under condition established via simplex method with molar absorptivity (1.9069x104) L.mol-1.cm-1, Sandell's sensitivity index (0.0165) μg.cm-2, detection limit of 0.2957μg.mL-1, quantification limit 0.9858μg.mL-1 and association constant of the formed complex (2333.3). The proposed method has been successfully applied for the determination of CLNZ in pure form and pharmaceutical preparations.

Abstract

A new heterocyclic Schiff bases ligand (HL) derived from condensation of 2-Amino-4-methylbenzothiazole with 4-Diethylaminosalicylaldehyde have been synthesized and characterized by (FTIR & UV.Vis) spectroscopies, (1H & 13C)NMR spectra, mass spectrum, elemental microanalysis (C,H,N,S). Metal complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions have been also synthesized and characterized by (FTIR & UV.Vis) spectroscopies, flame atomic absorption, molar conductivity measurements and magnetic susceptibility. These studies indicate that the mole ratio (L:M) is (2:1) for Co(II) complex and (1:1) for other complexes. The spectral results indicate that the ligand coordinates with metal ions as monobasic bidentate, via azomethine nitrogen and phenolic oxygen atoms. The study suggested octahedral geometry for Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes and square planar and tetrahedral geometries for Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes, respectively. The enzyme activity of the ligand and its metal complexes with acetylcholine esterase1 (AChE) have also been studied. The study of enzyme activity indicates that the ligand and its metal complexes revealed different inhibition behaviors.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Cefotaxime via Diazotization Reaction in Pure and Pharmaceutical Samples

Abstract

An accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of cefotaxime (CEF) in pure and pharmaceutical samples. The suggested method depended on the coupling reaction between diazotized cefotaxime and 3,5-dimethyl phenol (3,5-DMPH) in basic medium to form light orange, water soluble dye, that is stable and has a maximum absorbance at 497nm. The calibration graph was liner over the concentration range (1-70) μg.mL-1 with LOD of 0.750 μg.mL-1 and LOQ of. 2.740 μg. mL-1, sandal sensitivity of 0.0526 μg. cm-2 . molar absorptivity 11328 Lmol-1 cm-1 . The stoichiometry composition was found by Jobs and mole ratio methods to the formation dye (1:1). The suggested method has been applied successfully to the determination of CEF in pure and pharmaceutical synthetic sample.

Synthesis of Some New Heterocyclic Fused Rings Compounds Based on 5-Aryl-1,3,4-Oxadiazole

Abstract

The work includes synthesis and characterization of some new heterocyclic compounds, as flow: The compound (3) (5-(4-chlorophenyl) -2-hydrazinyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole was synthesized by using two methods; the first method includes the direct reaction between hydrazine hydrate 80% and 5-(4-chlorophenyl)-2- (ethylthio) 1,3,4-oxadiazole (1), the second method involves converting 5-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine (2) to diazonium salt then reducing this salt to compound (3) by stannous chloride. Compound (3) was used as starting material for synthesizing several fused heterocyclic compounds. The compound 6-(4-chlorophenyl)[1,2.4] triazolo [3,4,b][1,3,4] oxadiazole-3-(2H) thione (compound 4) was synthesized from the reaction of compound (3) with carbon disulfide in presence of potassium hydroxide. Compound 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-[1,2,4] triazolo [3,4-b][1,3,4] oxadiazole-3-amine (5) was synthesized from treatment of compound (3) with cyanogen bromide at room temperature in the presence of sodium hydrogen carbonate. Direct reaction between acetic acid and compound (3) in POCl3 affords 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-[1,2,4] triazolo [3,4,b][1,3,4] oxadiazole (compound 6). Five new fused rings derivatives (12-16) [6-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(aryl)-[1,2,4] triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]oxadiazol] were synthesized by two steps. The first step was synthesized by corresponding Schiff bases (7-11) from reaction compound (3) with five aryl aldehyde. These Schiff bases were used as substrate to synthesize compounds (12-16) by treating these compounds with bromine in glacial acetic acid in dry sodium acetate.The synthesized compounds were characterized by FTIR,H-NMR,C-NMR and CHNS analysis.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with preliminary test double stage shrinkage estimators to estimate the variance (2) of normal distribution when a prior estimate 2 0 ( ) of the actual value (2) is a available when the mean is unknown , using specifying shrinkage weight factors () in addition to pre-test region (R). Expressions for the Bias, Mean squared error [MSE ()], Relative Efficiency [R.EFF ()], Expected sample size [E(n/2)] and percentage of overall sample saved of proposed estimator were derived. Numerical results (using MathCAD program) and conclusions are drawn about selection of different constants including in the mentioned expressions. Comparisons between the suggested estimator with the classical estimator in the sense of Bias and Relative Efficiency are given. Furthermore, comparisons with the earlier existing works are drawn.

Abstract

In this work, Elzaki transform (ET) introduced by Tarig Elzaki is applied to solve linear Volterra fractional integro-differential equations (LVFIDE). The fractional derivative is considered in the Riemman-Liouville sense. The procedure is based on the application of (ET) to (LVFIDE) and using properties of (ET) and its inverse. Finally, some examples are solved to show that this is computationally efficient and accurate.

Abstract

In this paper we shall prepare an sacrificial solution for fuzzy differential algebraic equations of fractional order (FFDAEs) based on the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) which is proposed to solve (FFDAEs) . The blurriness will appear in the boundary conditions, to be fuzzy numbers. The solution of the proposed pattern of equations is studied in the form of a convergent series with readily computable components. Several examples are resolved as clarifications, the numerical outcomes are obvious that the followed approach is simple to perform and precise when utilized to (FFDAEs).

In this paper a hybrid system was designed for securing transformed or stored text messages(Arabic and english) by embedding the message in a colored image as a cover file depending on LSB (Least Significant Bit) algorithm in a dispersed way and employing Hill data encryption algorithm for encrypt message before being hidden, A key of 3x3 was used for encryption with inverse for decryption, The system scores a good result for PSNR rate ( 75-86) that differentiates according to length of message and image resolution.

Abstract

The experiences in the life are considered important for many fields, such as industry, medical and others. In literature, researchers are focused on flexible lifetime distribution. In this paper, some Bayesian estimators for the unknown scale parameter of Inverse Rayleigh Distribution have been obtained, of different two loss functions, represented by Suggested and Generalized loss function based on Non-Informative prior using Jeffery's and informative prior represented by Exponential distribution. The performance of estimators is compared empirically with Maximum Likelihood estimator, Using Monte Carlo Simulation depending on the Mean Square Error (MSE). Generally, the preference of Bayesian method of Suggested loss function with Exponential informative prior are the best estimator compared to others.

Abstract

Several methods have been developed for routing problem in MANETs wireless network, because it considered very important problem in this network ,we suggested proposed method based on modified radial basis function networks RBFN and Kmean++ algorithm. The modification in RBFN for routing operation in order to find the optimal path between source and destination in MANETs clusters. Modified Radial Based Neural Network is very simple, adaptable and efficient method to increase the life time of nodes, packet delivery ratio and the throughput of the network will increase and connection become more useful because the optimal path has the best parameters from other paths including the best bitrate and best life link with minimum delays. The results show how the proposed routing algorithm produces higher speed comparing with Dijkstra algorithm and finds the optimal path in addition to shortest path. Proposed routing algorithm depends on the group of factors and parameters to select the path between two points in the wireless network

Abstract

In this study a new composite nano material was prepared and characterized through the polymerization of inter attuplgie layered m-phenylendiamine with p-kresol. The results showed that the polymer binds with the structure of clay through hydrogen bonding also the polymerization process led to shatter of the three-dimension crystal structure of the clay and isolating layers in the form of nano-scale two-dimensional sheets, the polymer growth around the clay isolated layers work to increase the size particles at microscopic scale. تم في هذه الدراسة تحضير وتشخيص مادة متراكبة جديدة من خلال بلمرة الاثيلين كلايكول الموجود بين طبقات معدن البنتونايت مع مادة الفثاليك انهادرايد. بينت النتائج ان البوليمر يترابط مع هيكل الطين من خلال التاصر الهيدروجيني. ادت عملية البلمرة الى تحطيم التركيب البلوري ثلاثي البعد للطين و عزل طبقاته على شكل قشور نانوية ثنائية البعد, كما ان نمو البوليمر حول طبقات الطين المنعزلة عمل على زيادة الحجم الحبيبي الكلي للجسيمات على المقياس المجهري

Abstract

This work involves the preparation of the ligand [KL] :- ¬¬¬¬¬¬ K[4-(N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl) sulfamyl) phenylcarbamodithioate] from the reaction of sulfamethoxazole with Carbon disulfide in the presence of potassium hydroxide under reflux (4 hours) using methanol as asolvent. The prepared ligand was characterized using FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H,13C–NMR spectroscopy, molar conductivity and melting point, Complexes for the above ligand [KL] with some bivalent transition and non-transition metals (Mn +2, Co+2 , Ni+2 , Cu+2 , Cd+2 , Zn+2 , Cd+2 and Pd+2 ) were prepared. All prepared complexes were characterized by spectrophotometric methods such as FT-IR , UV-Vis, atomic absorbition ,magnetic sysceptibility, in addition chloride content , melting point and molar conductivity. All prepared complexes were found to have tetrahedral geometry except the (pd) complex was square planer. Biological activity for the ligand and some of its complexes were studied against two species of characterized Staphylococcus aureus"" and bacteria Escherichia Coil. تضمن هذا البحث تحضير وتشخيص الليكاند الجديد : [KL] - [4-{N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl) sulfamyl} phenyl carbamodithioate] K المحضر من تفاعل سلفاميثوكسازول مع ثنائي كبريتيد الكاربون بوجود هيدروكسيد البوتاسيوم تحت التصعيد الارجاعي ( لمدة اربع ساعات ) وبإستعمال الميثانول كمذيب لينتج الليكاند المذكور انفاً تم تشخيص الليكاند المحضر باستعمال طيف الاشعة تحت الحمراء ، طيف الاشعة فوق البنفسجية - المرئية ، طيف الرنين النووي المغناطيسي للبروتون اوللكاربون 13 , طيف الكتلة ، قياس الموصلية المولارية ودرجة الانصهار. حضرت معقدات الليكاند [KL] مع عدد من ايونات العناصر الانتقالية وغير الانتقالية ثنائية التكافؤ [ Mn+2 , Co+2 , Ni+2 , Cu+2 , Cd+2 , Zn+2 and Pd+2] شُخصت جميع المعقدات المحضرة بالطرائق الطيفية (طيف الأشعة تحت الحمراء، طيف الاشعة فوق البنفسجية – المرئية) قياس محتوى الكلور ودرجة الانصهار فضلا عن التوصيلية المولارية والحساسية المغناطيسية. وجد ان الشكل الهندسي لجميع المعقدات المحضرة هو شكل رباعي السطوح ، بأستثناء معقد البلاديوم كان مربعا مستويا . دُرست الفعالية الحيوية لليكاند المحضر وبعض معقداته ضد نوعين من البكتريا المرضية المؤكد تشخيصها وهي سالبة لصبغة الكرام Escherichia Coli" " والموجبة لصبغة الكرام Staphylococcus aureus"" ومن خلال هذه الدراسة وجد أن المعقدات المحضرة تمتلك فعالية تثبيطية أعلى من الليكاند المحضر.
