The Marabar caves of Chandrapore constitute the central part of E. M. Forster’s A Passage to India where the entire events revolve around them. The presence of the caves in the first section, then the setting of the second section, and finally most part of section three refers to their powerful significance in the structure of the narrative. E. M. Forester utilizes the tragic event in the caves to cast light on the impossibility of establishing friendship between East and West as long as India suffers from the British colonization. Forster accentuates this fact in the disastrous end of the Marabar caves’ expedition which Aziz plans for Mrs. Moore and Adela Quested to see the real India. The study aims at identifying (Effect of Adobe Flash Program on the Acquisition of Mathematics for the Pupils of the Fourth Basic Class in Jordan and Their Tendencies Towards it in the Governorate of Arbid). To achieve the aims, the researcher has relied upon the quasi-experimental method for its suitability. He has applied upon the experimental group the practical process using Adobe Flash whereas the other group studies in the traditional method. The acquisition test and the tendency scale have been applied upon the two groups. After making a statistical analysis, it has been revealed that there is a positive and important effect for Adobe Flash.

The aim of the study was to identify the factors influencing the success of the reading and numeracy initiative from the point of view of teachers, principals and principals of the basic schools in the Bani Kenana University. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to the study sample by using random sampling method, (50%) of the population who work in the Directorate of Education for the Ben Kenana, retrieved (101) questionnaire and after reviewing the questionnaires found that there are (12) questionnaire is not valid for the analysis, and the number of questionnaires valid for the analysis Statistical (89) including rate (29%) of the study population, were also distributed (40) questionnaire on (58%) of the community. After reviewing the questionnaires, it was found that there were (10) questionnaires that were not valid for the analysis. The number of managers in the sample (30) was 44%. After the statistical analysis, In the success of the reading and numeracy initiative according to the views of teachers, teachers and principals in the basic schools of Bani Kanana, it came as follows: Motivation and motivation to learn, positive interaction with students, the use of teaching aids, diversification of stimuli and stimuli, activities and objectives of the initiative, and there was no difference in the opinions of individuals in the sample of the study on the factors affecting the success of reading initiative and account according to the variables of personality (gender, experience).

Title of the study: (inclusion topics of health education in the Islamic Education Curriculum for the Intermediate stage). the purpose of study: Analysis of Islamic education books of In view of health education topics for the elementary education, the second grade. Provide an appropriate list of topics of health education for the elementary education, the second grade. Field of study: Islamic Education Books for Intermediate stage 2016/2017. Results: 1. The study focused on five issues (physical health, mental health, environmental health, health prevention and sexual health). All books included 60 main and sub-ideas focused on the five issued. The all five books include four subject about health education. All books are devoid of skills, experiences And amendments which promotes health education behaviors, It also failed to mention the Provisions and associated legal evidence. The study showed a significant difference in the distribution of health educationa topics for the elementary education, the second grade at the significance level of 0.01.

This research is an attempt to study the poetry of Bushra Hamdi al-Bustani in the light of the social approach, based on Norman Fairclough theory of discourse analysis. It is theoretical in the analysis of discourse in the three axes: interpretation, interpretation and expression. At the level of characterization, we studied the verbal formulations of the speech of the poet Al-Bustani Al-Shaari and the deconstruction of the morphological system of poetic text And the second axis is a study of the context of discourse and discourse as the cultural context of the poetic discourse and the last axis, a study on the dialectical relationship between discourse and social structure. In the critical analysis of discourse, discourse is a social practice that has a prominent role in changing the practices of power and in making radical changes in the fabric of societies

The study aims at identifying (Future Apprehension and its Relationship with the Ambition Level for the Female Students of Education Colleges). The study employs the descriptive method relying on the future apprehension scale by Zainab Shukair and the ambition level scale by Salah Al-Deen Abu Nahia whom the researcher has considered as juries for the Sudani environment. The sample has randomly been chosen of (400) female students; (50) female students from each department of the college. The SPSS program has been used to analyze the data of the study.

This research aimed to find out the most prevailing patterns of school problems of the students with attention deficit disorder accompanied by hyperactivity at the primary level schools according to students’ counselors in Al Rass province. The researcher used the descriptive approach, and the population of the research involved students’ counselors at governmental primary schools during the school year 1437-1438 H. The sample of the study is (40) male and female counselors. The researcher used observation card to collect the data. The research found out that school problems, such as: is not interested in doing the homework, and the inability to manage his spare time, avoids playing with his mates, and weak participation in school activities spread highly. Whereas, problems such as: running away from school the whole day, and run away from school to hang out in the street, spread in a low-grade. However, the rest of the problems are spread moderately. There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (a≥0,05) in the estimation of school problems prevailing among students with attention deficit disorder accompanied by hyperactivity at the primary level schools depending on the sex of the counselors in favor of (males), and lack of statistically significant differences at the significance level (a≥0,05) in the estimation of school problems prevailing among students with attention deficit disorder accompanied by hyperactivity at the primary schools depending on years of career and professional qualification

The aim of the current research is to find out how the use of some of the cognitive thinking strategies in the level of critical thinking and self-confidence of the university students. The strategies were applied to a sample of 50 students from the second level in psychology at Shaqra University, (25) experimental and (25) officers. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the experimental method of experimental and control groups after rewarding between the two groups in terms of variables (age, level of education of father and mother, level of intelligence, critical thinking, self-confidence) Thinking beyond knowledge, s Hired a researcher to test (Watson - Klaser) Translator by Issa (2013), and a measure of self-confidence (researcher); researcher used statistical methods system (SPSS), The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α =0.01) in the post-application of the standards of critical thinking and self-confidence; between the experimental groups; the average (28.1) for the critical thinking and (21.275) for the self-confidence and the control; (30.325) for critical thinking and (23,000) for self-confidence, for the benefit of the experimental group. This indicates the effectiveness of the strategies of thinking beyond the cognitive level of critical thinking and self-confidence among the students of Shaqra University

This study aimed to investigate the general characteristics of Mental Health among the homosexual males in the city of Omdurman, and the differences among the members of the experimental group in the pre and post scales of the collective counseling program used. In addition to investigating the differences in some variables (age, duration of homosexuality, marital status). The researcher used the experimental method. The sample of the study consisted of (51) homosexual males whose age ranged between (18 - 46 years), and they have been selected by simple random sampling. The researcher used the Mental Health Scale and collective counseling program. The collected data were analyzed using the (T) test for one sample, (T) test for two independent samples, and Analysis of Variance (Anova). The study found a range of results, including: the mental health of the homosexual males in Omdurman could be described as low. The collective counseling program was found to be effective in improving the mental health of homosexual males. There were no statistically significant differences among homosexual males due to age and duration of homosexuality in regard with effectiveness the program used, while there are differences due to the variable of marital status in favor of married men. In light of the results of the study, the researcher provided some recommendations, including: giving care to the mental health of the homosexual males by helping them to achieve personal, psychological and social adjustment, and Providing guidance and educational programs for homosexuals in order to guide them on how to deal with problems and mental disorders they face

This study aimed to know the properties of the criterion – referenced test and its items which are used to estimate the domain score according to the item response theory in measurement. For this purpose, an achievement test was constructed in the mathematic s of eight class of the first semester of2014-2015. the test consisted of (50) multiple choice items was applied on (460) students distributed into (12) classes. The results revealed that (41) items fit rasch model assumptions, whereas (9) items where deleted because they didn’t fit rasch model assumptions. The coefficients of reliability estimated for person and items were (.96) and (.88) respectively. The test validity was ensured through several approaches. The results also showed that the best items we choose to estimate the domain score are the items with intermediate difficulty because they are more precise to measure students achievement and also their standard errors are the least. also we can choose small number of easy and difficult items to represent all the domain if there is a need.

This study aims to reveal Optimism and Pessimism among a sample of handicapped children from Ajloun Governorate /Jordan, and its relationship to some demographic variables (gender, age)and the type and degree of handicap, for the purposes of the study, the researcher used Optimism and Pessimism Test which was done depending on Dember scale(1989)which is developed by Majdi Al Dusugi to be suitable for handicapped children,and it was found the indications of Validity and reliability of this scale, the sample consisted of 83 handicapped children (43 males &40 females)were selected randomly, and to analyze the data, it was found the arithmetic averages,standard deviations and value of (T),the multi variance analysis correlation coefficient.The results indicated that the level of Optimism and Pessimism between handicapped children was low, and there weren’t statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.05) at the degrees of the total Optimism and Pessimism and its dimensions between handicapped children regarding to age and gender,and there weren’t statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.05) at the degrees of the total Optimism and Pessimism and its dimensions between handicapped children regarding to the educational level of father and mother, there were statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.05) between the groups at the degrees of the total Optimism and Pessimism and its dimensions at the type of handicap regarding to the physical and auditory handicap,and there were statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.05) between the groups at the degrees of the total Optimism and Pessimism and its dimensions and the Pessimism dimension between the handicapped families at the type of handicap regarding to the simple handicap, the results were discussed in the light of the theoretical literature & previous studies, and some recommendations were suggested according to the results of the study

Cultural intelligence is a social activity and a major part of an individual's life. He who has the skills of cultural intelligence opens up many fields of knowledge and gains many social relations. How many rights have been wasted, how many rulings have been issued in the wrong way and how many learning opportunities have been lost due to lack of intelligence Cultural diversity, and the determinants affecting this ability: compatibility with different cultures, differences in cultures, values, customs, traditions, etc.Cultural intelligence is the ability of the individual to make himself understood "in front of others by finding fruitful treatment in situations characterized by cultural difference, that is, includes the ability to behave appropriately in the case of different cultures with the ability to have an open mind that accommodates new information And alien to those cultures. Hence the role of the university in the various stages that the society created in order to achieve its objectives. There are cognitive traits that must be enjoyed by the students and help them to succeed in solving their problems. There are characteristics and qualities of knowledge possessed by university students such as flexibility in thinking and openness to the experiences of others and what the student is keen to teach in The university must adapt itself to others and harmony with them and when this happens between the students becomes an appropriate environment for education, thinking and innovation. Those who enjoy open mind move away from one direction and one thought to reach points of agreement with others. This is confirmed by cultural intelligence, so that it avoids intolerance and intellectual stagnation. Therefore, students' open mind" requires an environment of freedom and acceptance of others. Therefore, the current research is based on the relationship between cultural intelligence and intellectual openness among the students of the University of Babel. Therefore, the researcher adopted the Eidi scale, 2010 for the intellectual intelligence and the measurement of Asli, 2013 for open mind. Thus, the researcher verified the validity of the two measures and their analysis statistically on a sample of 310 students And a student from the University of Babel students were chosen in random way with appropriate distribution. After completing the number of research tools, the researcher applied them to a sample of 411 students who were also randomly selected. In order to analyze the results of the research, the researcher used a number of statistical methods to achieve the objectives of the research are the one-sample and two-independent tertiary test, Pearson correlation coefficient, alpha-Cronbach coefficient, binary contrast analysis, Seberman Brown equation and standard error equation. The researcher reached the following results: 1-The students of the University of Babylon have a good degree in the level of cultural intelligence. 2-students of the University of Babylon at a high level of open mind. 3-the existence of correlation relationship average statistical function between the cultural intelligence and open mind among students of the University of Babylon. Based on the results of the research, the researcher developed a set of recommendations and proposals that will complete the current research.
