A Study of Accuracy of Data Mining Algorithms in Diagnosis of Emphysema Disease (EmD)

Data mining techniques are the Amounts of actual data are used to analyze these data to predict whole some data to support a decision-making in a problem-solving. A data mining is very useful to analyze any disease characteristics to support the decision process and specify what the disease is and what Details IS. In the proposed present papers, using the real algorithms of data mining techniques to support different healthcare fields and adopted a correct decision about the diagnosis of emphysema disease and specify the risk factors for this disease to support decision process. In this research, a data-mining model of EmD prediction using a hybrid model Radial Basis Function - Neural Network (RBF-NN) and Genetic Algorithms (GA) has been presented. From the results, it has been seen that a hybrid model predicts EmD with nearly 95% accuracy. Furthermore, the examined samples of individuals share the same risk factors a symptom. Data mining depends on these symptoms and factors to diagnosis obstructive emphysema disease.

A preliminary Study of the Effect of Drinking Black Tea on the Absorption of Iron in the Blood

The objective of this work is primary focus on iron-polyphenol complex were synthesized using the extracts obtained from black tea leaves interaction in aqueous solution at different concentrations of iron solutions and the resulting chelators iron-polyphenol complexes was characterized, using infra-red spectroscopy (IR) and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV). Determination of the iron concentration in blood serum was carried out on nine youth health volunteer's female student from Iraqi population (Diyala University-College of science) who are drinking tea particularly tannin rich dally with the meals, and then re-measuring their iron levels after stop to take it for five days, sensitive atomic absorption spectroscopy has been used for iron determination in serum samples. The results show that the reaction between iron ions and polyphenol can form complex. Based on data from atomic absorption during tea consumption and after stop drinking found that no significant inhibition in the iron level in younger students was noted, however, the iron values that measured in the serum samples by atomic absorption method are agreement with the natural value of iron level in the body.

A simple and Sensitive Spectrophotometric Method for the Determination of Trace Amounts of Sulfadiazine in Pharmaceutical Drugs Sample

This study includes a simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the estimation of trace amounts of sulfadiazine in aqueous solution utilizing oxidative coupling reaction of sulfadiazine with pyrocatechol in the existence of potassium periodate (KIO4) in acidic medium to yield a water-soluble dye which appear a maximum absorbance at 515 nm. The linearity is in the concentration range 0.2 - 20 μg/ml of SDZ, the molar absorptivity 1.2765× 104 liter. mol-1.cm-1 and the relative error ranges from 1.20 - 1.36 % depending on the concentration level of SDZ. The study was successfully applied to estimate the sulfadiazine in pharmaceutical drugs sample in the form of injections and burn cream.

In this work of Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were fabricated using Nano particle titania (TiO2) (deposited on ITO glass) as photo anodes and carbon counter electrode, sensitized dye were natural dye anthocyanin dye was extracted from red cabbage and chlorophyll dye was extracted from palm leaf and the electrolyte (I-/I3-). The absorption spectra of natural dye was investigated by UV-Visible spectroscopy which showed that the beetroot dye and palm leaf absorbed light at 550 nm and (664,420) nm respectively. The efficiency of prepared DSSCs were estimated through I-V characterization, the fall factors (ff) and electrical conversion efficiencies (ᵑ%) were measured using potentiostat. The conversion efficiency of chlorophyll and anthocyanin was 0.892%, 0.502% respectively.

The proposed method for generating a new distribution, depends on the Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) of two distributions, namely, Gumbel distribution and pareto distribution.We obtain a new compound, which is called (Gumble – Pareto distribution GPD). In this research we work on deriving the formula for the new distribution, and all other additional properties as well as introducing different methods to estimate the four parameters (μ^*,θ ,α ,B ) By different Method like Maximum likelihood, and method of Moments estimator and also, we derive Percentiles estimator and least squares and also weighted least square. Then the Comparison is done through simulation.

This work includes preparation of composite material by reinforcing blend of (EP80% + UPE20%) with different layers of Kevlar fibers (2, 4, 6 and 8) at volume fraction of 30%. Hardness and thermal conductivity of all samples were studied before and after (UV) irradiation. The Experimental results showed that, the hardness value increases with increasing the number of Kevlar layers for all samples before and after (UV) irradiation. The thermal conductivity slowly increases with increasing Kevlar layers before and after (UV) irradiation.

In this paper, Adomian Decomposition Method with Adomain Polynomials are proposed to solve a class of high-order non-linear partial differential systems. The method is applied to non-linear fifth-order Mikhailov-Novikov-Wang and sixth-order Coupled Ramani Systems. This method provides an accurate and efficient technique in comparison with other classical methods, the solutions procedure are very simple and in few iteration leads to high accurate solutions. The numerical results indicated that the obtained approximate solutions were in suitable agreement with the exact solutions.

Vegetable crops differ in size, shape, and color and which its suffer from this many leaf batches according to a particular reason. As a result of the plant, pathogens happen for Leaf batches. In agriculture whole fructification, it is essential to learn the origin of plant disease bundles early to be prepared for suitable timing control. In this regard, uses Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K- Nearest Neighbor to classify the plant's symptoms according to their appropriate classifications. These typesare (YS) Yellow Spotted class, (WS) White Spottedclass, (RS) Red Spotted class, and (D) tarnishedclass. Results obtained using SVM algorithm was compared with results obtained by a K-NN algorithm. Specifically, the overall accuracy of SVM model is about 88.17% and 85.61% for the k -NN model (with k = 1).

In this paper, we suggest a new method for solving fractional initial value problems of different fractional orders. We call it hybrid Series Solution (Fractional with power, Fractional with fractional, Fractional with power and fractional). The main difference between Caputo and Riemann – Liouville formulas for the fractional derivatives as mentioned. The paper focuses on finding the exact solution of Bagley-Torvik equation and other nonhomogeneous fractional differential equations, illustrated by some Theorems and examples.

This research included the preparation of some monomers and polymers by using (P-phenylene di amine) (A) as central unit (nucleus) for the preparation of these compounds in several steps following, the first step included the preparation of new derivatives of compounds (B) and (C), The second step included the preparation of three series of schiff bases (A1- A5), (B1-B5) and (C1-C5), The third step included polymerization of monomers that prepared in the 2nd step (A1 , A2 , B1 , B2 , C1 , C2 ), the prepared compounds diagnosed were by spectroscopy methods which includes infrared spectroscopy (IR) and some compound using nuclear magnetic resonance of the proton (1H-NMR), as well as the liquid crystalline state of the compounds prepared above studied was obtained compounds in (Nematic phase) and observed changes at different temperatures, as well as measure the real dielectric constant of these compounds, and the values obtained are excellent as these compounds have high dielectric making it store materials for energy.

Iraqi Plate Number Recognition Using Single Value Decomposition (SVD)

Distinguishing car plate numbers is an important topic of researchers' concern, which assures the process required to be high speed and acceptable accuracy, with the need to access the database and verify it if there was a problem and give a warning if it is necessary. A method is proposed in this paper to distinguish the plate of Iraqi vehicles (new forms), which will prevail in the end, depends on the pre-processing of the image and apply some filters such as (median filter) as well as improving the image before starting the proposed method, which relies on a normalization in the horizontal and vertical direction process and then segment the image into regions. Information is extracted from each region, such as the area that defines the type of vehicle if it is a governmental, private, taxi, or others. The region that characterizes the city as well as Arabic and English, numbers region is segmented and then transform with single value decomposition (SVD) on the image and get features that will send to the database for identification. The proposed method has given a percentage of accuracy of about 90.4 % in the process of discrimination with significant time complexity on average using K-Nearest Neighbor K-NN classifier. It possible to implement the proposed method with application of emergency alarm, to give a warning alert.

Eye-gaze is the mirror of speech, the language of nonverbal communication. The research investigations in eye-gaze estimation systems may reveal what persons think about on the basis of where they are looking. Nowadays, the eye-gaze estimation systems represent a combination of appropriate hardware and related software for estimating the eye-gaze directions to provide new domains of applications. The purpose of this paper is to provide an inclusive expansion in the recently existing applications based on the eye-gaze estimation systems by considering different applications; driver assistance systems, Smartphone as an input mechanism, controlling smart homes/TV, virtual space and entertainment, medicine, human robot interaction, sports, security, and authentication. Additionally, an implementation of an accurate, reliable and a low cost eye-gaze estimation approach based on Laptop Webcam is presented. This paper contains the main preliminaries, up-to-date advantages, and disadvantages, in addition to the necessity of future expansion in the domain.

A New Record of Paracaryum shepardii Post & Beauv. (Boraginaceae) in Iraq

Paracaryum shepardii Post & Beauv. is a new record to Boraginaceae in Iraq, found in Hasarost mountain (north-east of Erbil) within Rowanduz district (MRO). The collected plant specimens differ from the three-other species that already present in Iraq, where P. shepardii differs from P. rugulosum (DC.) Boiss., P. sintenisii Hausskn. ex Bornm. and P. strictum (C. Koch.) Boiss in that the wings of the nutlets are flat and not covering the disc, while in the other three species the wings are strongly incurved and partly covering the discs, as well as some other characters. Identification and morphological study was done, these clarified by photographs. In addition, some characters of the pollen grains such as shapes, colors, sizes, sculptures and numbers, together with stomatal complex characters of the leaf have been studied.

The Gradient energy coefficient ( ) in polymers and oligomers (a few segments) play an important role in polymer blending, wetting, coating, adhesion process, foaming and a comprehensive role in the description as well as understanding of many processes especially in innovation of new polymer with classification of materials. As a result, the main reason in this study appear which has how the gradient energy coefficient changes from bulk to surface, has been establishing the new equation that helped us to extract the correlation between gradient energy coefficient and different parameters. The gradient energy coefficient has been related with hole fractions, temperature and density. The relationships between the above-mentioned parameters are then drawn according to our model. Both Simha-Somcynsky (SS) and Cahn-Hilliard (CH) models are employed together to calculate the thermodynamic properties of cyclohexane, namely, the hole fraction in temperature range at 313-473 K various presures up to 150 Mpa. Our values for the average and maximum percentage deviation of the specific volume of cyclohexane are calculated as 0.0196% and 0.0678% respectively

This work is concerned with studying the adsorption of some azo dyes better on commercial activated carbon. The dyes were synthesized by considering the resorcinol as constant part in their structure which is reacted with a number of para substituted aniline via dizonium ions and used as adsorbate for achieving this study. These dyes were identified by a number of physical tests and the available spectroscopic methods. Three models of adsorption isotherms namely, Freundlich, Langmuir , and Tempken are applied to fit the experimented data of adsorption at equilibrium in the range of concentration (1*10-4- 5*10-4)M at various temperatures (292-328)K, and using (1gm/L) of the Adsorbent (Activated Carbon). The results showed that, the Freundlich isotherm is better fitted to the experimental data of the studied systems, although Langmuir isotherm exhibited good fit. This work included performing thermodynamic, depending on calculating the equilibrium constants by different methods, which represented by Freundlich constant Kf, Langmuir constant (KL) and finally is described by Tempkin constant (TK). The results showed good consistency among the four sets of functions in terms of their values and physical meaning. This consistency gave good indication for the accuracy of such kind of calculation.

Preparation and Characterization of Polymer Blend (PVA/PEO) Filled with Methyl Orange Thin Films

Polymers blend PVA/PEO filled with different weight percent ratios of methyl orange was used to prepare films via casting method. Structural properties of the final thin films were carried out using XRD technique, FTIR and optical microscope. While the absorption spectra of these films were measured using UV-VIS double beam spectrometer in the wavelength range of (190-1100) nm. The optical coefficients such absorption coefficient and extinction coefficient were calculated from the optical absorption. Direct and indirect allowed electronic energy transitions were studied under the influence of MO weight percent variation (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50) wt %.

The Effect of Methanolic Extract of Quercus infectoria Against Some Causative Agents of Diarrhea and Eliminate their Antimicrobial Resistance

We obtained 124 bacterial isolates including: Escherechia. coli. I (35 isolates 7%) isolates, E. coli II (8 isolates 1.6%), E. coli III (17 isolates 3.4%), E. coli IV (22 isolates 4.4%), Shigella dysenteriae (8 isolates 1.6%), Salmonella arizonae (16 isolates 3.2%), Salmonella typhi (12 isolates 2.4%) and Vibrio cholera (6 isolates 1.2%) Sensitivity test showed high resistance to amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, amoxicillin, ampicillin, erythromycin, streptomycin, nitrofurantoin, cefixime, rifampicin, tetracycline, trimethoprim - sulfamethoxazole and tobramycin. Most of the isolates appeared sensitive to nalidixic acid, gentamycin, amikacin, doxycyclin, cefotaxime, cephalexine and chloramphenicol. All isolates were sensitive to ciprofloxacin. The MIC of the methanol extracts of Quercus infectoria against different pathogenic bacteria was ranging between 2.5 mg/ml - 20.0 mg / ml and the MBC was 1.25 mg/ml - 20.0mg/ ml. The isolates revealed high resistance to most widely used antibiotic, the methanol extracts of Quercus infectoria showed high potential as antibacterial agent.

Histological Changes Resulting from Parasitic Infestation (Scabies)

The present study was conducted to investigate the changes in tissues in patients with scabies. The biopsies from patients with scabies and from patients infected with cutaneous leishmaniasis (positive control) were collected from patients attended the Dermatology Unit at Baquba Teaching Hospital / Advisory Clinic during the period from March to May 2016. The ages of the studied groups ranged between 20-54 years. The results showed that there were histological changes in patients with scabies, including thickness of epidermis and filtration of inflammatory cells of dermis and hyperkeratasis in some chronic cases. In addition, some chronic cases showed edema, degenration and necrosis of some epidermis cells. In contrast, the results of the present study showed that the histological changes associated with leishmaniasis included hyperkeratenosis, epidermis and spongiosis, as well as the formation of reteridges. In addition, there was infiltration of inflammatory cells in dermis as well as the presence of necrosis and degeneration in some infected skin cells.

The synthesis and study mesomorphic properties of a new series of 2,4-bis(4-n-heptyloxybenzoyloxy)-benzylidene-4-n-alkoxy aniline (DC7A1-10) Have been reported. The structures of the prepared compounds were confirmed by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and elemental analysis (CHN). The mesomorphic properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarizing optical microscopy (POM) measurements. All compounds of the series exhibited nematic (N) phases but the smectic phases are appear in (DC7A3-A10). The first two series (DC7A1, DC7A2) display only a nematic phases whereas the highest homologues (DC7A3-A10) exhibit enanthiotropic dimorphism Nematic (N) and smectic (S) phases (the DC7A6 is only compound exhibit Sc and SA phases). The liquid crystalline behavior has been analyzed in terms of structural property relationship. The mesomorphic properties and thermal stabilities of the present series (DC7A1-10) were compared with those structurally related homologous series.

The morphological and optical properties of indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films have been studied in this paper. Tin doped indium oxide thin films were deposited successfully on glass substrates at (450±10)℃ for various tin doping (0, 5, 10, 15, 20) % by spray pyrolysis technique. Atomic force microscopy has been used to study the surface morphology of In_2 O_3:Sn thin films. The optical properties were calculated by the absorbance and transmittance spectra in the wavelength interval (300-1000) nm. The optical constants such as (absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant and optical conductivity) have been calculated and discussed.

Antifungal Activity of Acetonic Extracts of Syzygium aromaticum’ Flowers and Mentha longifolia’s Leaves Against Clinical Isolates of Candida albicans

The current study was performed to evaluate antifungal potential of acetonic extracts of Syzygim aromaticom’s flowers (S. aromaticom) and Mentha longifolia’s Leaves (M. longifolia) on the growth of pathogenic Candida albicans. The results illustrated that the growth of the yeast was inhibited in both extracts when acetonic extract (20, 40, 60) mg/ml of S. aromaticom, Inhibition percentage of C. albicans were 56.22%, 67.22% and 100% respectively, compared to the same concentrations of leaves extract M. longifolia the inhibition percentage of C. albicans were 4.4%, 14.59% and 24.52%, respectively. Also, the results showed that t increasing the concentrations of acetonic extract led to increase the percentage of inhibition of C. albicans. Our study concluded that extract of S. aromaticom) could possibly be used for future pharmaceutical applications as anti-canadiasis better than M. longifolia.
