Abstract

In this research, a "Project planning / Risk analysis" model that consists of four modules has been developed to aid the decision-maker in planning different types of projects and analyze the risks. These modules are: Planning, Decision-Making Process 1, Risk Analysis, and Decision-Making Process 2.The model can be used to generate different scenarios of project plan according to the decision-maker's opinion in choosing the type of probability distribution, changing the probability/impact of the risk occurrences and/or changing the input values (time/cost) into the probability distribution. These scenarios will be resulted by Monte Carlo simulation as well as the application of qualitative techniques to assess risks and combining their probability of occurrence and impact, and quantitative techniques to numerically analyze the effect of identified risks. Moreover, it gives the decision-maker the ability of avoiding unexpected events through providing a futuristic look of the most project risky activities by implementing risk ranking matrix using heat map. The developed model will go through interrelating three software; Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and @Risk from Palisade.

Abstract

For achieving successful projects, effective planning and scheduling should be taken into consideration besides reaching an accepted balance among project objectives. As a result, this research focuses on attaining an effective balancing among a set of objectives that are time, cost, and number of laborers. The purpose of this research is to solve the problem of multi-objective project using multi-technique in a best possible way that accommodate with the nature of project activities. This aim is achieved by facilitating the accuracy of decision taking throughout choosing the best technique among group of techniques used in project planning and control these are; Gantt chart, crashing technique. These techniques are utilized to achieve many objectives. A new mixed approach named as Concurrency-Partitioning and Crashing Techniques (CPCT) has been suggested. In order to overcome the conflicting that might occurs among these objectives, Fuzzy Decision Support System (FDSS) is employed based on fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making method (fuzzy MCDM). The results showed that mixed approach (CPCT) was the best one that achieved multi-objective with best balancing. Both of project time and cost have decreased by 19.5% and 2.6% respectively, while the total number of laborers had increased by 8.8%.

Abstract

The most important features of our time is to compete and development in all fields of life, among the most important these fields is building and construction, although the important role that represents construction projects in real life, but it is exposed to a number of problems and most of these problems are the delay in the completion of the non-receipt of the project on schedule,The reasons for this delay were not to using the scientific planning and review the projects like the method of networking analysis. By this paper, we tried to show new technique to estimate the time of achievement of activities of the project depending on the properties of prime numbers for fuzzy network.

ان من أهم سمات عصرنا هذا هو التنافس والتطور في جميع مجالات الحياة، ومن بين أهم هذه المجالات هو مجال البناء والتشييد, فعلى الرغم من الدور الهام المتمثل بمشاريع البناء في الحياة العملية الا انها تتعرض لعدد من المشاكل ومعظم هذه المشاكل هو التأخير في انجاز المشروع في الموعد المحدد له, أسباب هذا التأخير لعدم استخدام التخطيط العلمي ومراجعة المشاريع مثل تحليل الشبكات , في هذا البحث استعراضنا اسلوب جديد مقترح في تقدير اوقات انجاز فعاليات المشروع معتمداً على خصائص الاعداد الاولية لشبكة الاعمال المضببة, ومقارنته مع اساليب اخرى وقد تعزز البحث بتنفيذ الاسلوب المقترح على حالة دراسية مستمدة من بيانات واقعية.
