Abstract

An experiment was conducted during the Agricultural winter seasons of2011/2012 in unheated plastic house at the College ofAgriculture. Basrah University. The aim was to study the effect ofspraying with bio hormone (Kelpak) and Vit. Org. on growth and yield oftwo cucumber vars."Sara" and "Saif ". The experiment included eight treatments which is the combination resulted from the interaction between spraying with and without for both Kelpak and Vit. Org. and two varieties ofcucumber. Results can be summarized as follows : Sara plants gave significant increases in total leaf number/ plant, decrease days for first inflorescence opening, total flower number/ plant, total fruit number/ plant, fruit weight(103.4g), fruit yield/ plant(3.133kg) and plastic house productivity (1349.0 kg). Whereas, Saif plants gave significant increases in chlorophyll content ofleaf only.Plants sprayed with bio hormone ( Kelpak) gave significant increases in plant height, chlorophyll content, decreased days for first inflorescence opening, total fruit number/ plant, fruit length, fruit diameter fruit weight(101.3g), fruit yield/ plant (3.690kg) and plastic house productivity( 1307.0 kg). Whereas, plants with out spraying gave significant increase in carbohydrates content. Plants sprayed with Vit. Org. gave significant increases in carbohydrates content, decrease days for first inflorescence opening, and fruit set. Total flower number/ plant. total fruit number/ plant, fruit diameter, fruit weight(104.3g), fruit yield/ plant (3.106 kg) and plastic house productivity( 1366.0 kg), whereas, plants with out spraying gave significant increase in tota soluble chlorophyll content. The interaction between the studied factors gave significant increases in all studied parameters.

Abstract

The field experiment has been accomplished during the 2012-2013 season, inthe new Baquba plantation, which belong to directorate of agriculture Diyala.This experiment is to study the effect of three cultivars, two training methods,and three types of fertilization, on yield characteristics of cucumber plant. Theexperiment includes 18 treatments of matching of three types of cucumber that(AS2, AS1, and BF372), two growing up manners (one stem and two stems),and three types of fertilization (plant organic fertilizer, animal organic fertilizer,and the spraying by the distilled water only). The experimental has been carriedout according to the split split pieces design (S.S.P) more than one time inR.C.B.D system and three replicates, Results showed that BF372 cultivar whichgrown up with two stems and fertilized by an organic fertilizer gave the highestquotient of the plant and unit area. It reaches 5.116 Kg and 25.58 Kgrespectively, while the AS2 plat type that grown up with two stems andfertilized by an organic fertilizer plat has outperformed in extractors numberrate to reach 41 extractor per plant, The AS2 type plants that grown up with onestem and fertilized with an organic fertilizer has outperformed in fruit lengthrate to reach 16.40 cm, while the BF372 type plants that grown up with onestem and fertilized with an organic plant fertilizer has outperformed in higherplant radius to reach 3.133 cm.

نفذت التجربة الحقلية في مشتل بعقوبة الجديدة التابع لمديرية زراعة ديالى إثناء الموسم الزراعي2012-2011 ، لدراسة تأثير طرائق التربية والتسميد العضوي على ثلاثة أصناف هجينة من الخيار،(AS و 2 AS1 ،BF تضمنت التجربة 18 معاملة عبارة عن التوافق بين ثلاثة أصناف من الخيار ( 372مع طريقتين للتربية (ساق واحدة، ساقين) وثلاثة أنواع من التسميد (سماد عضوي نباتي، سماد عضويحيواني والرش بالماء المقطر فقط). نفذت تجربة عاملية وفق تصميم القطع المنشقة لأآثر من مرةوبثلاثة مكررات، اختبرت معنوية الفروق بين المتوسطات وفق اقل فرق R.C.B.D في نظام S.S.Pبين المتوسطات الحسابية وعلى مستوى احتمال 0.05 . أظهرت نتائج الدراسة تفوق L.S.D معنويالمرباة على ساقين والمسمدة بالسماد العضوي النباتي في حاصل النبات الواحد BF نباتات الصنف 372ومعدل حاصل النباتات في المتر المربع إذ بلغت 5.116 آغم و 25.58 آغم على التوالي في حين تفوقتالمرباة على ساقين والمسمدة بالسماد العضوي النباتي أيضآ في معدل عدد الثمار / AS نباتات الصنف 2المرباة على ساق واحدة المسمدة بالسماد AS نبات بلغ 41 ثمرة/ نبات. وقد تفوقت نباتات الصنف 2المرباة BF العضوي النباتي في معدل طول الثمرة إذ بلغ 16.40 سم في حين تفوقت نباتات الصنف 372على ساق واحدة والمسمدة بالسماد النباتي بأعلى قطر للثمرة بلغ 3.133 سم.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted in the green house of the College ofAgriculture , University of Diyala for the season 2009 – 2010 on sandyloam soil . RCBD system was applied with three replications . Theexperiment included two water factors , magnetic and non-magnetic water ,and four depth of water applications (surface drip irrigation (D0) , subsurfaceat depth of 5 , 10 ,and15 cm namely D5 , D10 , and D15 ,respectively . Polyethylene pipes of 5cm in diameter were used toproduced different length of pipes which located near each plant underthe dripper . Magnetic device of 1500 gauss was used to producemagnetized water.The results explained that there is a highly significant differences byusing magnetic water for all treatments in growth Parameters ( plantheight , leaf area , dry root weight ,vegetative dry weight) and yield ascompared with non-magnetic water. The depth of water application at 5 cm(D0) was highly significant in all growth parameters as compared withother depth of water applications. The highest value of plant height , leafarea , vegetative dry weight , and dry root weight at D5 and magneticwater treatments are 146.33 cm , 9472.66 cm2/plant , 98.48gm/plant, and 4.4gm/plant , respectively . The highest value of total yield at the D5 withmagnetic water treatment is 27.61 ton/ha as compared with 20.21 ton/haat D15 treatment .

نفذت التجربة في البيت البلاستيكي التابع لكلية الزراعة-جامعة ديالى للموسم2010 في تربة مزيجة رملية من ضفاف نهر ديالى. استخدم تجربة عاملية وفق _ الزراعي 2009حيث تضمنت التجربة نوعين للماء :- ماء معالج (RCBD) تصميم القطاعات العشوائية الكاملةري = D مغناطيسيا وماء غير معالج .استخدمت أربعة أعماق لإضافة ماء الري بالتنقيط وهي 0ري =D ري تنقيط على عمق 10 سم، 15 = D ري تنقيط على عمق 5سم ، 10 =D تنقيط سطحي ، 5تنقيط على عمق 15 سم من سطح التربة وباستخدام أنابيب بولي اثيلين قطر 2انج ووضعت بجانب آلنبات لأجل إضافة الماء عند العمق المناسب.استخدم جهاز مغنطة ذي شدة مغناطيسية 1500 آاوس ربطمباشرة على أنبوب تجهيز الماء .بينت النتائج أن هنالك فروقاً عالية المعنوية عند استخدام المياه الممغنطة مقارنة بالمياه غيرالممغنطة إذ تفوقت معاملة المياه المعالجة مغناطيسيا في صفات النموالخضري (طول النبات،المساحة الورقية، وزن الجذور،وزن الجزء الخضري الجاف) وآذلك حاصل النبات الكلي .LSD تفوق على جميع الأعماق الأخرى معنويآعند D أما بالنسبة لعمق إضافة الماء فان العمق 50.05 وآان أعلى قيمة لطول النبات والمساحة الورقية ووزن الجزء الخضري ووزن الجذوروالماء المعالج مغناطيسيا هو 146.37 سم و 9472.66 سم 2/ لكل نبات و D الجاف عند العمق 5D 48.98 غم /لكل نبات و 4.4 غم /نبات وعلى التوالي .أما الحاصل الكلي فتفوقت معاملة العمق 5إذ آان 20.21 طن /دونم . D مع الماء الممغنط حيث آانت 27.61 طن /دونم مقارنة مع العمق

Abstract

This study was conducted in a field belongs to the faculty ofagriculture/ Baghdad University during autumn season 2012 to evaluate the complimentary effects ofsome agricultural, chemical and biological methods in reducing the population ofThrips (Thrips palmi Karny) on cucumber plants Cucumis sativus L. in middle ofIraq(Baghdad-Abugraib). Results showed that all chemical and biological treatments had similar negative effects on population oflarval and adult stages ofthrips. Means were 0.840, 0.470, 0.602 and 0.545 insect/leaf where plants were treated with fungus Beauevria bassiana, fungus Trichoderma harzianum, insecticide Talstar, Talstar+B. bassiana or Talstar + T. harzianum, respectively, compared to significant high population, 2.487 insect/leaf resulted from the control treatment. Fertilization levels interacted differently with different treatments and significantly reduced insects population especially when level ofpotassium (P) was increased, a 50 kg ofP /donum suppressed insects population to 0.664 insect/leaf compared to recommended P level, 25 kg/donum that resulted in 1.203 insect/leaf. Thrips population was also affected by the two P levels where interacted with two planting dates. A combination of50 kg/donum, doubled P rate applied at 1st sep. 2012 was more effective in reducing insects population than 25 kg/donum applied at 1st Aug. 2012, means were 0.544 and 1.437 insect/leaf, respectively.
